Thierry Posted December 18, 2004 Posted December 18, 2004 I present to you "Bobby Boy", a super French hero. Merry Christmas and good year with all! PS: as usual, sorry for my bad English. Quote
Admin Rodney Posted December 18, 2004 Admin Posted December 18, 2004 Thierry, Looks like he is ready for adventure. I really like the eyes... reminds me of John (Artbox) Henderson's Kapsule eyes a little. Do you have any more renders of him in different poses? Quote

higginsdj Posted December 19, 2004 Posted December 19, 2004 From a pose perspective you might like to pull his front arm away from the body (ie think silouette) otherwise the front arm gets lost in the body! Cheers Quote
Admin Rodney Posted December 19, 2004 Admin Posted December 19, 2004 Looking good! He's got style. Easy to see that you are having fun. Capture that element. Lock it in. Don't forget it. Go Bobby Boy! Quote
Thierry Posted December 20, 2004 Author Posted December 20, 2004 Thank you with all, it is my first serious character, I still have work on him. From a pose perspective you might like to pull his front arm away from the body (ie think silouette) otherwise the front arm gets lost in the body! ok, I retain your ideas, thank you higginsdj. Quote
ypoissant Posted December 20, 2004 Posted December 20, 2004 He is looking good. Lots of character. Bon travail. Quote
John Keates Posted December 20, 2004 Posted December 20, 2004 He looks like he is just bursting full of animation energy. I can't wait to see him moove. Quote
Thierry Posted December 25, 2004 Author Posted December 25, 2004 Merry Christmas my friends. And here is, "Bobby Boy" is ready for new adventures, now it walk. The video with the Quicktime format is here, 2Mo. think of putting in loop QuickTime reader (CTRL+L) Deliver to me your opinion... thanks! Quote
Admin Rodney Posted December 25, 2004 Admin Posted December 25, 2004 Your character makes me smile. Nice walk... maybe add a smile or some interest to his face... I know it's just a generic walk cycle but... You might try a determined look. Where is he walking? What does he have on his mind? Is he concentrating on where he's going? What does he think about the person he's going to meet when he gets there? Assuming these are even valid questions... Answers to those question will help determine what subtlety you add into the walk. I like the eye blinks! Best, Rodney Quote
Zaryin Posted December 26, 2004 Posted December 26, 2004 That character shows real personality. Great Job. Quote

paulmcg1 Posted December 26, 2004 Posted December 26, 2004 Really awsome character! Really inspires me to get great and make a character like this Quote
Thierry Posted December 26, 2004 Author Posted December 26, 2004 thank you paulmcg1, and I hope to see your character soon. To complicate more is not to make a character, it is to animate it, and to make him live a history. Quote
