  1. David Will Bertram wear the gymnast suit that we talked about? Steve
  2. Added a little color but made a great deal of changes to the hand Steve
  3. Excellent! I see the placement of the thumb is to low in respect to the wrist. Also the thumb needs to be rotated even more. I am working on it now Steve Edit I have roated the thumb and moved it vertical on the hand
  4. I did it on both sides and was able to get the palms with more definition and the back side to get the crease between the fingers. Steve
  5. I pulled the cp back away from the center as suggested and it gave the palm a better look Steve
  6. Very Nice! Every since I watched Briar Rose Trailer I have wanted to do a dragon. I have bought books and looked at others view of what a dragon would look like. I have started twice but I have not been happy with the results. Yours looks great. Steve
  7. I will give that a try tonight. Thanks for the notes. Steve
  8. Thanks. You are right the rig is very flexible. However, the placement of the thumb and its rotation never looked right. Especially when I had the character make a fist. The thumb would not cover the fingers when using the sliders. It was in my setup of the rig and the geometry of the hand. So I started over on the hand and the characters head. I hope to have a face to show here shortly. Work has been rough and I have not been able to do much for about two months. Steve
  9. Thanks for the comments Mark Skodacek has helped me the most with his posts about rigging with Squetch Rig. He had some drawings that made me realize the hands I had placed on a couple of characters would not be possible. Thanks to him. Steve
  10. I have always had problems modeling the hands. Here is a WIP of the hands for my rework of a character I started last year.
  11. I will give that a try tonight. You learn everyday. I will send an update Steve
  12. Here is the scene as it will appear in the animation Steve
  13. Excellent!. Thanks to you and David for all the hard work!! The same instructions apply as far as the installation of the poses? Steve
  14. David and Mark So now I can start placing the new rig into my character and if there is an update I will be able to remove the this rig and replace with the update without re rigging the character? Steve
  15. Excellent. Thanks Chris. Holmes, I will post something tonight. The cup is double layed and what happens the cup simply drops through the table and down to the floor. I am going to throw another brush into the cup and the have the other brushes move around. Hope fully this will get me started. Steve
  16. I have been setting up a scene for my logo animation. In part of the scene the main character will throw an object into a cup. There will be other objects in the cup and I want them to bounce around inside the cup. I am not getting Newton Physics at all. I have seen others accomplish some neat things. I have d/l the pdf tutorial and can not get it to apply to what I am wanting to do. Any help? Steve Here is a shot of the room
  17. I have enjoyed the progress on this project. Excellent work! Steve
  18. I am just beginning to understand that as well. Any tips you can give let me know. It is appreciated. Here is a shot I am working on for the company animation. Steve
  19. Over the past couple of years and I have used the standard lighting setup. Over the past couple of weeks I have been playing with lights. I have a couple of questions. I am building a room with can lights (recessed lighting in the ceiling). I want the can lights to light the room in an addition I will have a fill light such as a lamp. When lighting a room such as this 1. Is it best to light from the model, action, chor? If you light within the model I have had some issues trying to get enough light in the room. In the chor it is tough to position the light and you have to add to the model for each chor. 2. I remember the Yves did a tutorial on lighting a room at the dining table. Does anyone have a leak to it? I could not find it. There are a lot more but I will stop for now. Any help is appreciated Steve
  20. I have been playing with some of the shaders and I have noticed wherever there is a hook, the diffuse skin shader leaves a black dot. Has any else noticed this? Steve
  21. While I am waiting on the next squetch rig I thought I would dive into hair for the character. I have found the hair portion in v15b to work really well. I have begun to experiment and I like it. Here is an upload with the first try with hair Steve
  22. After talking with David Simmons i think i am going to wait until the new rig comes out, so I thought I would touch up the model somewhat. Here is another update. Steve
  23. OK the rig is in and I am working on resetting the compensates. I have got the skull cap in ready for hair and reworked the hands and torso. Just playing around with lighting. i hope to have the rig completed this week and will begin weighting the cps. Thanks to David Simmons who has helped me get this far. I will try to upload a pose by the end of the week. Steve
  24. I have added several bones in the hip area to take care of the diagonal splines. Will let you know as the rig comes together Steve
