  6. I am tired and can not remember this. I have a decal that I have created in photoshop. I have applied alpha as I don't want the white background. I have imported it into AM, but when I apply it puts the white background. Can some remind what to do to remove the background Steve
  7. This one will be easy to be clothing on! Gloves and shorts and the rest will be skin tight clothing. The other ones I have been looking at what Jesse did in his forum. Steve
  8. It took me a while today but got the hands on. I tried a different approach. I shot two pics and used them as rotoscopes. I then simply followed the profile of the hand, then split the splines, pulled the cps, split, pulled etc, until I got a smooth line. Most of the time on the hands I lathe and form Here is a shot of the super that is all thumbs! Steve
  9. Thanks David! All of these characters plus a couple of more are going into a short I am doing called Cupid's Sick Day. I have to create two more main characters. I have the basic story down and now working on story boarding the plot. Steve Edit Got the ears on last night
  10. Thanks Robert! I had not even thought of separating the settings from the hands and arms. I will give that a try. Steve
  11. Face completed and ready for hands and feet. Will try something new with hands Steve
  12. Very nice! She looks great. What about the clothing- are you going to use dynamics or part of the rig? Steve
  13. Here is the next character in the story line.
  14. Thanks for the reply. I pulled out the video that Will Sutton did. I have been able to apply decals his way without any problems. Steve
  15. Thought I would upload a sss test. The color is not excatly what I want. The darker color in the fingers has me concerned. How do you remove the darker tones such as this?

  17. Finished the body and got his clogs on. Working on clothing him and hair. Steve
  18. I can get it to work in 15d but not 15e. Steve
  19. I am still having difficulties with decals. I know there was a thread earlier concerning the corruption when a decal is placed on the model. Can someone direct me to that thread or tell me what to do? The decals when placed on the model appear fine, but when rendered they are stretched or pixelated. Steve
  20. Mark I am trying to get hair on my new characters. Did you make a skull cap or use the mesh of the character to place the hair? Did you groom him in an action or on the model? Steve
  21. New pic of the body in place with the head on the body. Steve
  22. Thanks guys. I have finished the head and working on the body. Should have an up date shorlty. Steve
  23. I got the ears in and now clean up on the face and ready for the body. I am going dress him business causal. May have some questions on textures. I still can not decal an object correctly without the decal being corrupted. Steve
  24. Yes the red arrow is pointing to a three point patch. There is a spline that goes behind/in front of the 5 point and there is a 4 patch hidden behind the nostril. I learned this from a tutorial from Jim Talbot I think. The Clothes were put on in both action and model. When I finish the weighting of this character I will dive more into the cloth simulation. I will keep you posted. I have learned more from Vern and his rig with the stage. Steve
  25. Here are the 3/4 and front of the finished character Steve
