  1. This is my final image of the alleyway that i have been working on for about 2 months on and off on. I hope you like it! Ben
  2. It looks pretty good in my opinion, maybe try experimenting with material effectors for a look like water is interacing with the hull of the boat, and I've tried making wakes before, there not that great, but i think if you combine geomitry with good animated materials and some interesting sprites, you could have a quite nice wake! Looks really good. I love the boat Ben
  3. I would love to contribute anything to the project i can, I am not exactly good at anything much, but you can see some of my work in the showcase and WIP. I like your story though, it sounds funny Maybe if i post somthing with a model you could use you could email me and i would send it to you. Things like that (i like mechanical things and backrounds) I could help render stuff too, i know rendering can be a big hastle. If theres anything small you need just drop me an email: Bentothemax@yahoo.com (or if you have AOL instant messager talk to me there. My screen name is Bentothemax01) I'm still just a kid though, so i cant be making any trips to collaberate or such. But i'll do what i can
  4. Perhaps could we see this boat in water? . . . please The 360 looks great!, just one thing i dont like is that it looks like you rotated your model, and not the camera. It's kind of distracting when you use a skylight like that and the shadows are going crazy in every which way direction Ben
  5. That looks very good. The only crit is that i to agree, i think the cloak should move more, more freely and not so stiff cant wait for more ben
  6. That looks great!! I agree, i love to see mechanical things made, espeacially like that!! ben
  7. Here is my latest. It's a low res render srry, I wanted it to be done when i got back from baseball 9 pass : 1 light : 2.3 gamma
  8. so far very nice . . . wow thats better than I can do. I've attempted modeling cars so many times its not funny . . . you should see the first one i finished eh its horrible The problems I see: The doors will be hard to do if you want them to open and shut. Making the windsheild and windows could give you trouble because it's attached to the frame. If the windows are going to be transparent then you could have difficulties modeling the interior keep it up it looks great! ben
  9. There is another render using only one light in the radiosity forum under 'my attempt'
  10. LOL, that story sounds hilarious! The model and everything look really really great! thanks for sharing Cant wait for more!
  11. Wow, that looks real good I agree about the definition around the lips and eyes but great job Ben
  12. I like it, it's about 500 times better than my first character attempt . . . i don't even want to mention that. i agree the chin does have a certain style . . . its cool keep it up!
  13. Hey guys, srry for not posting anything lately. I've been reading alot more on radiosity lately, and I'm still experimenting. I'll do some touchup work to the peice and once i get ideal radiosity settings, I'll rerender it (at 32 hrs a render i want to be pretty much satisfied before i give up my computer for a day and then some). more to come! Ben
  14. attach ears! argh! somtimes attaching stuff in random places is hard but it pays off keep working! Ben
  15. good job the materials are really nice srry for short post(im at school)
  16. If you want them to bend easier, then the less splines the better, sometimes if you have to many splines, odd joints could appear (like it has a whole bunch of bones in the ears) It looks good so far though! looking forward to more
  17. I like that alot more! good job!
  18. Here is a new render I forgot to turn on multi pass . . . It took 30 hrs total (20 antialiasing ) The grass on the sidewalk is messed up, i meant to put a density map, but forgot to before i rednered. I added a little garden thing, changed the camera angle, and added global lighting ( The blue light from the atmostsphere [i think thats what its called]). I also put a brick texture on the walls, i need to change that some. But this is what i have so far . . .
  19. really nice job!! WoW, what were your redner times for that? The lighting set up is really nice ( i think its the lighting) Anyway great job!
  20. Well, I've decided i can't make the deadline for the mini film contest, so i'll enter my movie in the mood shot contest. I didn't do any new renders. I was playing around with relections and refraction and such (The image turned out pretty cool) BUT i found this one PS. srry for low-res . . . I'll try to post new renders ASAP.
  21. Sad, yet very well done, wayyy better than my film
  22. I can't seem to find it, but it was under the topic called "This is where i eat my hat" I will reinstate the brick texture, my computer crashed and i forgot to reinstall the simbiont AM thing. I'll rerender it soon, after my movie is done
  23. ILM . . . i would look there to see if they are hiring, unless your already hired, and you just muching there models . . .
  24. lol, bravo! I like it . . . how did you create the water?
  25. really nice lightsabre
