  1. If that doesn't work, come back and I might have an alternate work-around. But Rodney's info ought to be the way.
  2. So basically.... you need to make the motion of the camera bigger to match the size of the original A:M environment? Is it just the camera you need to scale or all of the nulls too?
  3. I'm going to guess some text editing would fix it.
  4. I'm thinking the line of the suspenders should be straighter.
  5. Here is my two smartskin test... clip3814HeinersSmartskin.mov
  6. Looking good. I'll note something I've observed in other human models... her arms seems to have a rather unnatural concave curve on the forearm that makes it look stick-like. An arm will typically have a slight outward curve (blue line) in that pose...
  7. When I tried the previous versions i found it would happen in final renders even without toon on.
  8. I just tried it, I was able to make one Smartskin that moved CPS and another that changed color, both controlled by the same bone. Can you tell us more about what you are trying to smartskin?
  9. You can have more than one smartskin on a bone. Just do another "New>Smartskin" I can't recall a good reason for having more than one but someone came up with one once and it is possible. Smartskins can control more than CPs, of course. Almost any parameter can be linked to the rotation of a bone via Smartskin.
  10. I think someone wanted it to reduce visual clutter when bones are visible.
  11. How about black lace stockings?
  12. Official contest announcement: For this contest it is permissible to start a WIP thread and post your progress on your entry or solicit feedback. It is not required but you may if you wish. 55 days left until the contest deadline.
  13. It looks well-used!
  14. I'm glad you're finding A:M useful! -My workflow for putting holes in surfaces is to model the holes first, then strategize an economical way to connect them together and to the edges of the surface. -I think most point-aligning needs can be accomplished with scaling. I'll note that Martin has said in the past that A:M was never intended as a CAD tool and wasn't built to support those needs. The exacting nature of true CAD tools was something that A:M's basic nature didn't lend itself to and was outside the stated goal of being a tool for "narrative character animation." If someone finds A:M's tools useful none-the-less he didn't object to that but they weren't likely to spend development time and money into furthering that niche use. He said that long before consumer 3D printing became common. He might look at it differently today but the budget for development is even less now. It's unlikely that Illustrator-style splines would be implemented in A:M. The current spline behavior is the core concept of A:M.
  15. I got it and have been looking at it. It is a perplexing oddity which I think is a combination of mis-connected splines, 3-pointers and maybe group conflicts but i haven't found a way to solve it with the original geometry. Would it be permissible to spline the eyesurface like this? To do that, delete the CPs and splines that make the interior of the eyesurface, then extrude the ring that remains inward a couple times.
  16. and that something else should be an insect
  17. Can you send me that model in a PM? I'll try to look at it.
  18. Yes. Baking renders material textures and existing decals into one tiled map. There are some material properties that can not be captured that way. I forget which ones , at the moment.
  19. Does it happen when the model is in a chor, seen by a camera?
  20. I believe A:M works from top to bottom of the list so a lower group can over ride a higher group. Also, for the most reliable behavior, put your settings in a material and put that in a group rather than setting properties in a group directly.
  21. I'm testing right now... if I drag from left to right (or down) it is clear but if I drag from right to left (or up) i get lots of black marks in the ruler area. They disappear if I press the space bar
  22. Creating a custom toolbar to replace the number pad... https://www.hash.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=45739&p=392178
  23. Yeah, it's a bit paternalistic but I'm going to guess they did some research and found the people with the most unnecessary problems are the ones not doing the updates quickly. Has there ever been a serious problem with an update? I don't know.
  24. I don't think anyone except pixosaur can sell you 3DPainter because it needs an activation key from him to work.can sell you Something has been lost in translation.
  25. Microsoft explains what you’ll lose by upgrading to Windows 10 Apparently you can't play "Hearts" anymore. I will admit I never understood that game anyway. Also... no floppies, no DVD player included.
