  1. While Skyping today with Roger I noticed that his laptop, which also has both Intel and Nvidia graphics, has this same shaded-wireframe problem. His is definitely set to use Nvidia graphics with A:M
  2. I'll call you at 7:00 Make sure to accept the contact request in Skype before that.
  3. I've sent a contact request to "john canady jr" Is that you?
  4. What would be a time to Skype with you?
  5. I think the process in the article seems to be a more standard way of making a program use a graphics card. You have already done the process in the article? Don't do it yet. I'm just asking first. Do you have skype?
  6. Has this process been suggested already? How to force your laptop to 'Run with Graphics Processor' vs. the default 'Integrated Graphics' This is an Autodesk article for Autodesk programs but I presume the issues are similar.
  7. StartMenu>Control Panel>Device Manager>Display adapters
  8. Isn't there a control panel we can look at to determine which graphics are being used?
  9. I'll also note that Quicktime Pro ($29 just once) is a great compression tool with many input and output options including for audio compression, too.
  10. Toon shading can be set in a material so that only objects with that material get it. Also you can get toon shading without Toon lines by using PluginShaders>ON Diffuse render Shader>Gradient and set the color spectrum beneath that option in the manner you do for toon shading. This can also be set in a material for selective use.
  11. Have you tried updating you graphics card driver?
  12. A:M will convert an image sequence to a video file. Load the image sequence into your images folder. >Save As>Animation Do this in 32-bit A:M for Quicktime choices
  13. I will note that a key element of the entrance exam is following the directions.
  14. I did not catch the Chimpanzee before! He's going to space?
  15. That's beautiful! Thanks for posting it!
  16. Mark Largent brought this to my attention on Facebook...Walt Disney died 50 years ago today. A whole universe of things have happened since then in just 50 years. So much has changed and so much has come and gone and come and gone again. I'm just old enough to remember him introducing "Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color" each week on Sunday night TV. I had to imagine the color since we were too cheap to get a color set. That and "Bonanza" were the big watch-TV-with-popcorn-and-a-root-beer-float event for our family. I recall my mom showing me this drawing or one like it in the morning paper.
  17. Great-looking candles, Gerald! I used to get an Advent calendar from an aunt every year but it would always arrive late about a week into December. Instead of letting me open all the doors of the days already past I had to slowly apportion them out over the remaining days until Christmas.
  18. Clarification: A "broad jump" is a jump starting from a standing position with both feet together, jumping forward and landing with both feet together. It was actually an Olympic event at one time.
  19. If you would like to be considered for the Body Mechanics Boot Camp (seats are limited!) do one of the following... - A bouncing ball entering from screen left and exiting screen right or - Any character doing one broad jump, from left to right. Don't spend more than an afternoon on it, but do your best and send me the PRJ, with everything embedded, in a forum private message by December 31
  20. 12 bands sounds like a lot for toon shading but, yes, you basically adjust the markers by hand to get the divisions you want. I imagine text editing a file would be a way to get precise results.
  21. I'll note that Rabbit and KeeKat have Poses that position their eyes. Their eyes will appear oddly in the model window where Poses are not in effect.
  22. What part looks strange? That looks like a proper shaded wireframe render. BTW, I'll note that you can quickly switch between wireframe/shaded with the 8, 9 ,0 keys at the top of the keyboard (if you are not already typically doing that)
  23. Sent you a PM
  24. I really think the treez plugin is the way to go
