  1. Well done Mark Thumbs up
  2. Huh...? How did you make that rough clay'ish surface? Awesome!
  3. Wow! Thats the most impressive water I've seen made with A:M. Hope you some day reveals the secret
  4. Ahhh, cool looking dude Love the proportions of him. And the head! Few splines, yet so much personality. This is one of those models I get thinking "Darn, why didn't I think of that!"
  5. amazing Tell us a about how you did make it. I smell many splines, an an high render time...
  6. Thanks for the comments. btw, i did post the boat on cgtalk, will be fun to see if it gets slaughtered http://www.cgtalk.com/showthread.php?t=248823
  7. Darn that is impressive you have managed to get an very nice sun effect, and that with one light! Very realistically looking. Nice use of DOF also. Please tell us about the render (time. multipass and so on), also an wireframe would have been cool to see
  8. I don't have any crit, just want to tell you that the yeti is awesome. and great facial expressions
  9. Your wish is granted but i didn't like the result though....
  10. that is cool. to bad you don't get advertasment. but cool anyway
  11. Thanks for the very nice comments, they are very encouraging This boat cost about 125.000 USD I have rendered a 360' animation of it: Regards Stian Ervik Wahlvåg viknes_rotate.mov
  12. That looks like an very nice start. You have managed to get an very nice shape with few splines, and that is great. But I would recommend you to separate the parts (hood, doors and so on). I usually tries to get the overall shape, like yours, before I separates them. Keep it up
  13. Thanks for the nice replies I had a sideview and a topview blueprint/linedrawing of the boat. the rest was judged bye eye from ref photos some photos of the prototype of the boat The new updated image took 11hr (3072x1536, 36 multipass)
  14. Thanks for the comments About the shadows, yeah there is some weird shadows on the door. I use a eight lighted skyrig, and with 25 multipass on the render. never played with buffers. However, if anyone got a tip for that, I'll be happy Thanks again
  15. And the shaded wireframe
  16. Hello Hashers I haven't been so active lately on the forum, sorry for that. Anyway Here is my latest work This is an boat model I have been working on. There is still some few details missing, but it is almost finished. The model is made of 12466 patches. Regards Stian Ervik Wahlvåg *The image is updated*
  17. Your hero is cool! Do you have some kind of a shortfilm in mind, or just made him for fun?
  18. WOW! impressive!
  19. Looking very nice!
  20. Thanks for your time Rodney. Your result are exactly what I experience. Darn! Yupp, up and away with the project to A:M report
  21. Thanks for the comments. Darn, I still have problems on rendering! Don't know why. Before I send it to A:M reports, can anyone test the project, and let me know if it does render or not? also try 'render lock mode'. Test it on frame 22:10, but I'll guess the problem is on the most of the frames where there is particles. Remember to set 'Draw Particles/Hair' to 'on' Regards Stian fly.zip
  22. Cool! Great animated. Only crit I have is what you mention yourselves
  23. And here is the craft An attempt on making it with low patch count (most of the patches are on the turbine fan)
  24. I have made this little animation. It is my first attemt on using particles. BUT, when rendering this, A:M crashes when the particles are visual on the frame, it even crashes when I use 'render lock mode'..... Is this an common problem (software or hardware?). The animation is rendered in shaded mode soundunc_Custom.mov
  25. Yeah.. Impressive. Your work is GREAT. I Wish I can make something as beautiful as your work some day
