Thanks very much for your comments

Thanks again:) I managed to do that by using two rotoscopes on the camera. The first rotoscope (the complete image) was added in the background (on top=off). The second rotoscope was added in front (on top=on) with everything cut out (except for the car and the sign) by using alpha, the window on the car was given an grey color so it became semi-transparent [attachmentid=13576][attachmentid=13577][attachmentid=13579] Actually I did the opposite of that, I gave the images a touch of a sharp filter, but thats just my personal taste

Thanks for your comments I agree, but I'm a bit unsure how to do that. There are none on the original model Thanks again for your comments Regards Stian

Hi friends Since I've finished up the Il Tempo Gigante I thought I should upload a few renders for you to see. Even though the car is finished, I do appreciates crits both good and bad First I have a standard render of it: [attachmentid=13568] And I have an render where I basically just used the McLaren toycar scene, and I tried to achieve an toycar look of it (inspired by the real radio-controlled toy version of it: Images at the bottom of the link: [attachmentid=13569] And last I have made an little photo composition animation test. This is just an test so many things could have been done better, I'm just glad I managed to render the ground with just shadows : [attachmentid=13570] Regards Stian itgphotocomp.mov mp4 version: itgphotocomp.mp4

Love the turtle. Very cute

If 2 rays removes the banding I guess I dont need 36 passes. But with just 1 ray there was an noticeable difference in the banding between 16 and 36 passes. Im going to update the setup

Thanks for your comment, I appreciate them very much Yes (patch decals) I used an simple bumpmap for the tubes (patch decals), The seam is now fixed, it was just some rotate image issue. Im using the 25light setup with an dome. 36 passes, and 100% darkness. Somehow I've forgotten to set the rays to 2. The 1280x768 render took 5hr to render, which is a bit much, but since I have an extra comuter I dont mind the extra rendertime. Regards Stian

Right before christmas I started this fun but challenging project of modelling the car from the norwegian puppet film "Pinchcliffe Grand Prix". The car "Il Tempo Gigante" is one of the coolest car I know (besides McLaren ), and it is actually been built an fullsize superfast version of this beast. At this point I'm finish with the modelling but do have a lot of texturing to do. Its late now so I'm going to bed, but tomorrow I'll try to upload some references of the car, and some wires of my model. Comments and crits are highly appreciated Regards Stian [attachmentid=13041]

Need to brighten up this guy's eyes

I cant help you regarding the light problem, actually I have had similar problems myself with "glass materials" that shuts out light, without knowing why... I'm posting this just to let you know that your model is GREAT. Gives me associations to "bob the builder", and that is in a positive way Regards Stian -
HAHA. Thet was bloody cool!

I would love to be considered for the free upgrade. Regards Stian

I feel really bad not having commented your Hercules before, because It is really impressive. Keep up the great work. Regards Stian

Thanks for your nice comments

LOL, Thanks, but the funny thing is that I never managed to get decent looking treads on my wheels, had big problems aligning the material (think I used a projectingmap or something to place the bump, don't remember exactly). However, the bottom line is that those wheels you got there are way better thorough made than mine. I can smell the rubber burning! Regards Stian

Ohhh. Thats a beauty! Great level of details. The tire-tread on the middle looks a bit odd though, is it a decal or a bump? I'm truly looking forward to see those wheels on your car

Great model! Nice texturing too:)

LOL. That was cool. How did you rig it?

Bionicle Toa Images, and Lewa Q&A animation

That was pretty cool. Great model and animation -
minor update. I do have an ugly 5pt patch at the root of the wing... I'll try to fix that [attachmentid=11781]

Last night I got an idea of making an silly seagull, don't know why though I did not have any clear vision of how he would end up like, so I just started to spline. He is far from finish, but I think I have an good start. The wings needs a lot of tweaking, and I have no clue in how to model the tail to obtain the "style" he got so far. Anyway, after a few hours of splining I ended up with this: note that he is made just for fun. Comments or crits are highly appreciated Regards Stian [attachmentid=11774]
