  1. Your wish is granted but i didn't like the result though....
  2. that is cool. to bad you don't get advertasment. but cool anyway
  3. Thanks for the very nice comments, they are very encouraging This boat cost about 125.000 USD I have rendered a 360' animation of it: Regards Stian Ervik Wahlvåg viknes_rotate.mov
  4. That looks like an very nice start. You have managed to get an very nice shape with few splines, and that is great. But I would recommend you to separate the parts (hood, doors and so on). I usually tries to get the overall shape, like yours, before I separates them. Keep it up
  5. Thanks for the nice replies I had a sideview and a topview blueprint/linedrawing of the boat. the rest was judged bye eye from ref photos some photos of the prototype of the boat The new updated image took 11hr (3072x1536, 36 multipass)
  6. Thanks for the comments About the shadows, yeah there is some weird shadows on the door. I use a eight lighted skyrig, and with 25 multipass on the render. never played with buffers. However, if anyone got a tip for that, I'll be happy Thanks again
  7. And the shaded wireframe
  8. Hello Hashers I haven't been so active lately on the forum, sorry for that. Anyway Here is my latest work This is an boat model I have been working on. There is still some few details missing, but it is almost finished. The model is made of 12466 patches. Regards Stian Ervik Wahlvåg *The image is updated*
  9. Your hero is cool! Do you have some kind of a shortfilm in mind, or just made him for fun?
  10. Thanks for your time Rodney. Your result are exactly what I experience. Darn! Yupp, up and away with the project to A:M report
  11. Thanks for the comments. Darn, I still have problems on rendering! Don't know why. Before I send it to A:M reports, can anyone test the project, and let me know if it does render or not? also try 'render lock mode'. Test it on frame 22:10, but I'll guess the problem is on the most of the frames where there is particles. Remember to set 'Draw Particles/Hair' to 'on' Regards Stian fly.zip
  12. Cool! Great animated. Only crit I have is what you mention yourselves
  13. And here is the craft An attempt on making it with low patch count (most of the patches are on the turbine fan)
  14. I have made this little animation. It is my first attemt on using particles. BUT, when rendering this, A:M crashes when the particles are visual on the frame, it even crashes when I use 'render lock mode'..... Is this an common problem (software or hardware?). The animation is rendered in shaded mode soundunc_Custom.mov
  15. Yeah.. Impressive. Your work is GREAT. I Wish I can make something as beautiful as your work some day
  16. Nice. Love the style and color! very cute. About the moon, it would be cool to see some craters on it, to make it more recognizeable.
  17. Only "crit" I have is that I think (personal opinion that is) her hair is a bit to "spiky". Anyway, your model is looking GREAT. Would like to see hear in a pose (guess I'll have to wait until she is rigged).
  18. I must say you have managed to create an supercool image. How would the rendertime and look of the image be if you rendered an 10 sec short with a res ~NTSC/PAL with no multipass? It would be fun to see an animation of this tincan. Awesome image
  19. Hey. Nice scene. Like the trees and the clouds. But I think the ground is a bit too flat, why not add some bumps or something?
  20. Wow That was very nice What was the render time?

    ROV

I think I have managed the cable problem (thanks to Chris Thom's chain). Her is an little test. the last bone on the cable has dynamic constraint (target set to the little box). the box is an individual model. There are some collision issues that I need to get rid of, and some setting adjustment to simulate the behavior in water a bit better cable_Custom.mov
