  1. Yesterday I was sent a project file made in V14.0C and since I still had 14 installed I opened it there and started tinkering. It was awful. There was stuff that actually didn't work. It was slow. You folks out there still working in older versions need to do yourself a BIG favor...upgrade.
  2. Oh no- That was Kat Whitaker's entry...she is a HUGE fan of the Swedish metal band CemetAry. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cemetary ill fixxit!
  3. Edit #2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e1PDXjQ7_Ms
  4. We are slowly learning that about you.
  5. Thanks everyone...GLAD it is liked. Rob---I'll try that punctuation. Yeah- I guess it is temporary...up to the point when it is replaced or becomes permanent I suppose. Have a track in mind? Largento--- I don't know how similar it is to the original, I don't think it matters...does it? The clips were arranged in a 'random' fashion...with minimal rearranging.
  6. Hi! I finally got some time to string our PTB movie together...all told it's 4 MINUTES! Please have a look to see if your video is missing or name is spelled incorrectly before I upload it for real, later this week/next. Great work by over 20 A:M animators! ENJOY! AS OF WED 6/17/2009 TShirt is now available! http://www.mysoti.com/mysoti/product/382858
  7. Sweet looking 'gitter! You are SO right about crashing, it gives you the opportunity to do it again...only a little better...and with a little more cntrl-S'ing.
  8. Nice fluid-looking walk cycle...you can feel the weight, and the trip is smooth. I know he has 'mitten-fingers', but it would be cool to see some sort of finger action (thru the mitten) in the left hand guitar action. A pose-action would do. LOOKING FUN!
  9. The Homedics water pitcher job finished this week, turned out pretty good. It will be used in point-of-purchase displays at BED BATH and BEYOND stores, so look for it this Christmas while shopping for an egg-beater for Aunt Hildegard. It is a newfangled pitcher that uses UV light to kill living organisms that your standard charcoal filter lets pass...bacteria and stuff, and they hope to sell a lot of them in this 'swine-flu' era. I got to use a little AMFluid for the 'filling' action... some but very little After Effects work done on this. In the final edit my animations were covered in text and titles... 10. I took your posted guitar image and made you a patch image to try out...
  11. What Nancy said--- however... You would want to edit your wood image in a photo editor to make a 'tile' that melds into itself from side to side. Yes, you may need to rotate some of the patch images-but it's not too hard (Select the patch- Right/click on it and choose 'Rotate Images') No- patch images do not slow a render down more than any other decal would.
  12. Yes, this is REALLY cool stuff, Stian- as always! Hate to interject the 'morose'...I'm not really into this kinda 'Hallowe'en' stuff... BUT--- it would be sweet to animate this model 'skitting across the floor' , blood pulsing and squirting as it goes... bone, veins, nerves and carpal tunnels dangling from the wrist... OK I'll stop now.
  13. Nothing against the flattening method- but I would look into using 'patch images' also...
  14. I really like the 'backstory' as well...make enough of these and you have a BOOK! You may even have enough right now to approach a publishing house...
  15. So---HERE's the million dollar question... Does TSM2 work with V15.0F???
  16. Skirts in general are very susceptible to all sorts of dynamics...I just can't study them enuff... they sorta drive me CRAZY!!!
  17. OKAY! The ball is now literally in my hands. Give me a few days to digest all this, 'put it in my pipe and smoke it' so to speak... all told we now have about 29 entries. THANKS EVERYONE!
  18. Yeah...great starts! He has a real 'grunge/Nirvana' feel to him.
  19. Yup! We'll take it! What else do we have kickin around out there? SHIP IT!
  20. Yeah--- I'm getting them... we are working with Nino right now to get his 'Frankie' animation over to me... going to try using A:M to import his clip (on his end) and then Save As adding more H264 compression to it. So far from what I've seen here...LOOKS GREAT! Just need that fullsize version...
  21. WOW! I have a full inbox today! This is GREAT! I am trying to send a reply to each as I download them. I did get yours, Fae...I'm reply-ing right now with a question regarding your 'credit'. The deadline was June 1... SOOO, anyone who still hasn't sent...has until the end of the day today, June 1st.
  22. If the 'Spleenster' says they look great, they look great! Make sure you look at his forum and see some of his guitar-work- and see my approach for constraining the whole 'magilla' (guitar to body, hand to guitar, strap to guitar and body...) http://www.hash.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=35278
  23. Whu-WHAT??? OUR little Stian is having another birthday??? HAPPY BDAY, STIAN! To be or not to...B-DAY!!!
  24. VERY GOOD! You need to remind us when to vote for it, for ya. MY only tweek- if I may...is I seemed to want to see his mouth making more of an 'O' phoneme from time to time. OTHER than that...it's great and should do well in the competition!
