  1. HOLMES-I am always going back-n-forth between MP and regular renders... I try it both ways most of the time before I render to see which will suit better- always with varied results. DETBEAR- Wow...I'd like to see your show! Thanks!
  2. TWSS! (silly 'The Office' reference, I apologize.) All jocularities aside...pretty cool!
  3. "Mamma- Don't take my Kodachrome away!"- Paul Simon Film had a great run... but it wasn't the most ecological of mediums. For many a year during it's heyday Eastman Kodak was one of the larger of corporate polluters. Viva digital!
  4. I hate to be the Knight who says 'nit'... but is the shrubbery just an image? Would it be optional to use?
  5. I love the look that AO can give... but getting there is killin me! Friday I set up a AO render and let it fly all weekend... it was taking an hour per frame... not bad- I have some time to render this sequence. TODAY I am trying to do the same thing and NOT getting the same results (See image) Let me tell you how I go about getting AO and please check me if I am missing something: -Open up project and turn OFF or delete any existing lights. -Set the CHOR to GLOBAL AMBIANCE TYPE- COLOR -Adjust the color to an off-white, set the ambiance intensity to 70-90 ish -set the ambiance occlusion to 20-40 ish (higher equals longer renders...) -In the RENDER cue... turn ON Ambiance Occlusion under Options -render I know there is also a way to get an AO pass using EXRs... I am mixxing my passes in After Effects... what am I missing here???
  6. Hard to please everyone... what details is the PHOTOGRAPH missing?
  7. Fun stuff! Screw the copyrights... anyways, their first legal action would be to ask you to take it down... if they do that... take it down. If you don't... THEN they can take further action.
  8. Stian is always amazing us... I accuse him of taking steroids.
  9. Well lit! I like the teacher... she does not look like the Nuns that taught me!
  10. I've missed this thread as it developed... I like where you guys are takin this!
  11. Weird . it played fine in the forum yesterday but today I had to DL it to see it... I wonder what caused the shift in the car/truck on the street?
  12. Whoooa! Is that the image projected(applied) onto the geometry and then rendered in stereoscope? Awesome...! (work on that camera move though...)
  13. Move your head back n forth... freeky!
  14. Okay- found me glasses... that gave me VERTIGO! I like the way the taxi's keep their yellow and stand out. FANTAST!
  15. Great animation...love your sense of timing for mo-graphics. I'll agree with Jason (and steal his phrasing for my own usage...) it looks really HIGH-DOLLAR! Do continue!
  16. Don't have glasses handy... but I gotta say- I like the way you THINK!
  17. How cool!
  18. Great stylism! Using A:M?
  19. Devil with the Blue Dress-blue dress on... (Mitch Ryder and the Detroit Wheels) I think MT mentioned he used MatCap shaders... do a search for matcap... coolest thing since they started putting the slices in the bread!
  20. Yeah... I like this idea... keeps a constant camera tho, right? If people want to pan/zoom in their sequence... they CAN... but end-up with the cam in a common spot and focal length... MORE 'INS'!!!
  21. Great embellishments!
  22. IN! Is it always the SAME room? Could be cool to collaboratively model a room with ample 'props'.... and share that choreography for everyone to use...
  23. It is quite easy to get the effect in A:M. So the rendertimes are a killer if you ask me... doing it in the post should be much better. If your particle render times are too extensive...try rendering in 'shaded' mode... much-much faster and particles do not take too bad of a quality 'hit' in shaded mode... and then you can composite them back into your scene.
  24. ISSUE RESOLVED: Hash support has taken good care of me, I am once again- one happy spliner! THANKS SUPPORT!
  25. OKayyy...I have now gone thru those steps... received a new master0.lic file from support...reinstalled V15.0J+SUB... and am still getting the error which has me locked-out of A:M for a week now. SUPPORT has been prompt and helpful, and I hope will help me get back in the saddle again. lesson learned: MAKE SURE YOUR SYSTEM CLOCK IS SET RIGHT BEFORE YOU BUY THE A:M SUBSCRIPTION... AND THEN NEVER TOUCH IT.
