The arms are a bit slow which is better than my usual to fast. Yes its everclear I liked the beginning so had it readily available to play with when the oppurtunity arose. Thanks for looking
I am almost done scanning photos for my wifes family ..so far over 300 scanned and if possible repaired..anyway
I decide to "play" tonight with AM and looked at the extra DVD and found the DoDo
Here is my attempt to animate it and try something for a project I am working on

Sorting through some stuff from my old site I thoiught..why not post a few old items related to halloween. ..anyone else have any to share ?

I put all the projects in here and the darktree material for the ghost 's eye in case you didn't have it
allprojects.zip
check the material it translates over time I think I did y & z or maybe x & y . this would be in the chor goto the model then to the material then check there under transform ...translate
Eric
I played with the original a little and got this...its too fast but I just did the 30 frames
final.mov
here is the project file

hopefully you can then relax

Okay
I did a quick try and got this displacement map qt after turning the ambient intensity to 0 instead of 100
displace_map.mov
But I only did 30 frames I would apply that with at least a 150% displacment How the displacement is handle has changed
I also just tried a simpler method and made the material and animated the mesh and got this....I did not try to copy the color of the babbage sea just the idea

I haven't tried the tutorial in a long time but will try it later....and post.. Are you getting any displacement or just not movement.
Also darktree simbiot water materials do a nice job

format for video with alpha is qt animation or the tga sequence that works for me. action is one way to animate character say for a walk cycle. I let the experts answer more completely I just tinker
I will have to look at the tut again but usually to have a material move you translate it in the chor. Goto material then there will ...sec I will try to get a screen capture
In the chor you can set the values shown in the picture to change over time and this will cause movement
Does this help
Actually if you model the vase and text in the same model then assign a bone to each one with path constraint to spline on vase then you would set the ease of each letter to position it. If time allow I will post a simple version if needed. hint since bones will line up with path if you want the text to be partially into the vase you can position the bones on the model for that or adjust the offset in each constraint.
A camera rotoscope is just for that camera...you can decal on one sphere and then record even decal movies on multiple spheres and record that but not by using a rotoscope from a different camera. Or you can add layers with pictures or animations and combine them if you do not need just spheres
simple sign with sweeper and font wizard then set on/off poses for each letter for better control set chor glow down but could be changed in poses
