  1. Not sure what your question is do you want the gun to point at something particular ? Need More iinput!
  2. a jpeg is a iimage load it there and then apply to the model as a decal
  3. If the laser beam is a model set up a pose to vary the length then adust as needed if I have time I 'll post a simple example tonight
  4. This looks complicated but it just a matter of learning how to use the gradient mixer. It is based on the model's dimensions in the model window which means even if you enlarge it when putting in the chor the material will react the same. It just takes some time play with the start and end values in the gradient which will apply the attributes accordingly then the attributes can be made into other materials or even another gradient. I will try to make a simple tut later ps no need to weep Caroline just do it
  5. I found a font I downloaded awhile ago called KR smiley anyway I used the font wizard to get the letter e which is a smiling fish Did a simple action on it and got this cfontfish.mov fontfish.zip Just another way to get a model

    Nicely done Eric
  7. make an action and move the beam turning it on and off as needed ? lbs.mov
  8. make the beam a group and then add an on/off pose to the model to make it transparent when off and non tranparent when on lb.mov lb.zip sort of like the above you could even add a percentage pose to slide the beam longer and shorter as needed
  9. hard to tell but somehow you doubled up it happens.... try again and stop at each step and check
  10. looks almost as if you extruded a section without an offset
  11. to get you going you could do something simple like this old line animal of mine lineanimal.mov or this http://www.geocities.com/johnl3d/anim12.htm Have fun!
  12. here's something I put together using a material similar to the Jeff Paries material effector tut but just using the basic material force.mov maybe should have used different colors ?? force.zip v15a or was this overkill?
  13. that was quite awhile ago....from the my old site that could probably be hidden with a little bit o tweaking
  14. sprites ? monster2.mov monster2.zip volumetric lights
  15. make the patches illegal say 6cps renderaslines.mov renderaslines.zip
  16. this is as easy picking a material and animating it on what ever shape you need you animated the material by changing the value of the material in the x,y,and especially z directions as well as changing the scale over time you can even rorate it. at work but could post something later
  17. I googled red blood cell and it shows an image being similar to a red doughnut which is similar to a torus which is included on the cd or data download in primitives so I made it red ...modified it slightly and got this cell.mov cell.zip if this is not close post a picture of what you want

try a dense mesh and play with both the size of the fluid particles and the settings and it might work rtry.mov rtry.zip This is a shaded wire frame which seems to almost do what you want and I did not do any major tweaking... to hide some edge leakage (but no fall through !) you could double skin the models outside to hide this that maybe? just a thought as I shut down or ...an animated material....how liquid is the liquid in question...watery or thicker
  19. new material right click on attribute choose file type plugin Hash Inc simcloth add to model cloth parts and parts to deflect material and adjust settings
  20. The darktree plugin has been part of the included plugins for awhile now here is a site with alot of free material that work with the plugin http://www.darksim.com/Repository/ some examples and other links http://www.pixelburg.com/am_materialtest/d...nt21/index.html where to buy the full program and get the plugin for older versions and other links http://www.darksim.com/html/simbiontam.html
  21. here's my try at an animated sack from a few year ago meatsack.mov meatsack.zip mine wasn't quite as athletic
  22. You could start with this and improve it heart.mov heart.zip
  23. http://www.hash.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=15461 http://www.hash.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=15837 not newton but might be useful
  24. Did a real fast project.... obviously there is some leakage but with a denser mesh and slower movement some playing with fluid settings and gravity...maybe... bot.mov bot.zip good luck let us know how it goes
  25. you can animate material over time a get an effect similar to what you are asking this example just translates the material overtime in the negative z direction gate.mov v15a project file gate.zip
