Great. Now to the when and where. Let me know what works for you. This weekend might work for me if it's early afternoon. I have a church potluck Sat. at 4:30 ish. And Sunday at 3:30 ish, I have to go downtown to this thing for my wife's work (the Urban League Male cook off). Boring but I don't have to cook and I get to eat, yet again! The following weekend is wide open on the calendar but then again, my wife has 5 days off starting on the 30th, and I don't know what she thinks/planning we are doing. Where? My home is always available. (I don't have a lap top so that is where my computer is). Or the bookstore? I never grew up and aquired the taste for coffe but, my wife loves/recommends the carmel macchiato's there. Do you have a favorite local pub? Any thoughts? Let me know.

A GREAT character with a lot of character. Nice job.

I was going to wait to see if there might be others but, I don't think anyone else is going to show up. It's not really a group but I'm up for getting together just to meet if you are interested. You do have Rodney's seal of approval We can meet at my home or a bar or whatever. I'm on the East side in Fairport. 40, married, 3 kids, Just do 3D as a hobby. Feel free to check out my website. http://home.rochester.rr.com/thekamps/ I'm actually from Illinois as well (Peoria, Pekin, Washington). I occasionally made it into Chicago to play in hockey tournaments and to hit a baseball game, etc. But that was a long time ago. If you are interested, drop me an email or PM through the forum.

Hey! I'm in Rochester but I think I might be the only other one. There are a few members in surrounding cities but spread around and pretty far out. Oswego, Ithaca, Toronto (I think they have a group), etc. as I recall. There used to be an option in this forum to look up members by location for those that had entered their location but that option is not there anymore or at least I can't find it. They changed these forums a while back and it might not have made it. Anyone? If not, can it be put back in?

Thanks for taking a look. I didn't see anyone else posting problems so I figured I had done something wrong and was hoping for a quick fix I had switched the "FACE off/Joint Controls/Split Controls" to NOT SET but I'll have to look into that again. I had downloaded and rigged the model Tuesday morning and was hoping I had the latest rig but I may have missed the critical update posting. I'll try my luck and swap it over and see if that works or start over. Thanks again for all your work. This will definitely help a lot of people.

I went through the whole thing. Pretty straight forward but, after I "Delete the installation pose folder from the user properties and the relationship folder of the model." and after I "translate the "FACE interface-Master" bone while holding down the control key and position the interface infront of the head. and I "Right click in modeling window and choose plug-ins>wizards>install rig" I get the yellow triangle with exclaimation point and then an unhandled exception #001. Anyone else? Ideas? JD_export.mdl

I'm not sure what you mean by "sandy" render but,... It may just be the material applied to KeeKat. It has always been a felt-like look to me.

I never really got into modeling with AM. I did a lot of vases/lathing, the giraffe, and the plane. And stuck with animating/goofing off. Does anyone remember the magazine Serious 3D? Great magazine that didn't last (a few printed issues, then online subscriptions, then it died). It had a lot of great information but it was basically a bunch of step by step tutorials using various software, including Animation Master. They were by Robert Ward (Modeling a Grumpy Old Man) and (Prehistoric Creature Modeling). Is he still around. He gave me the rough understanding. My first original modeling works ... a John Kerry caricature my avatar - a contest entry for the 8th dwarf

This private viewing must be different than the Hansel and Gretel YouTube friend viewing. Did I miss that limited premiere somehow, or is it scheduled? I'm assuming this viewing (Tiger and the Stork) is for those working with you on it?

Not a silly question at all. It's actually important... Each year's disc is good for all upgrades during that year. From past experience, the new 2007 disc will be out soon, usually mid to late december. The 2006 disc is good for all updates in the year 2006. (almost done) The 2007 disc for all of 2007. (might be worth the wait at this point)

Funny and clever and animated perfectly. A great character. And the animation really brings it out even more. Great job!

Wow! Great piece. Great shots and flow. Love all the incarnations of the shaggy model;)

"Hey, Pickup Cafe!"... my 2nd dialog test

Love it. I've seen the character used a lot on Animation Mentor member pages works. You're right up there! I know the character is used with Animation Mentor and that you converted it to Animation Master so I don't know if it would be problematic but... Could he be added to the "Extra's DVD? -
?whiskers?a pink nose? a few toes? teeth? So far, looks good to me;)

I replayed it real loud and sur enough... Darn ears/hearing! I'm really getting old. Sorry.

Looks good. One thing that is confusing/odd though... The narrator is saying "The moon on the grass" and the character is looking at a city scene with no grass:)

The zip file you attached contains the project file but not the tga's associated with it. I don't have the whitesmoke.tga and smoke.tga so I was unable to view it as intened.

It will be out eventually...and I'm going to keep my eye out to see if anyone posts that they actually received it. I just tried to order it at a Barnes and Noble... They aren't taking ANY orders. Said the distributer pushed back the date again and gave me the ISBN# and distibuters phone# (800-842-3636)

Once you have purchased A:M, you can upgrade to the latest version for $99. (from ANY previous year) The upgrades are based on a yearly $99 subscription. Basically a new CD comes out each year and it can run all the releases for that year. By looking at your disk, you can tell what year and with a little research, find which versions that disk will run. I could be wrong but, I think they were... 2002 Petey & Jaydee 2003 Perk 2004 Ape 2005 Sorserez 2006 Yeti

How do you get the desktop to accept one image for dual monitors? I have only been able to have the image repeated on the 2nd monitor. clueless

Don't I feel silly. I still had to add the tounge poses before submitting the modified Yeti to the next ExtrasCD and then... I don't know how I missed these posts but, it looks like Cosmonaut has already done a modified Yeti back in June and done much better than mine. http://www.hash.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=15112&st=0 Any chance you want to add your modified Yeti to the Extra CD instead?

OK. Here is the modified Yeti model with the facial poses I've been working on. This is the first time I've done facial setup, so feel free to throw anything helpful (suggestions/critiques) my way. I can then try to add any improvements/changes before the next Extras CD release. Or, feel free to adjust the relationship/pose yourselves if you want and show me how it's really done;) Oopps! I have to add the tounge poses:D And a clip showing some facial poses Yeti_riggedfacial2.zip faceposesf.mov
