  1. Fan-tastic!
  2. I understand, but in the movie, he is looking into only 4-5 apartments. My confusion is that it looks like the solution to needing more apartments was to assign people Apartment #5-7 on the left but those apartments can't really be seen. My solution is that if you want to have more people do a spot for this forum project, then turning the building on the left 45 degree would open up more apartments for use. Like a stage trick for a fixed audience. It is just a thought.
  3. The camera position would be important...from the picture of the set, it doesn't look like you can even see the building on the left, let alone the windows of apartment 5. Do the buildings have to be at right angles. Maybe building 2 and 3 and 4 could be at 45degree angles?
  4. The picnic bench looks like a great spot for a spot but don't think it would work for mine. (but maybe I can come up with one) the mock-up is supposed to be a couple on a date sitting on a couch watching a movie and then...
  5. I need a lower unit or view looking down through a window. A mock up would look like this... Just let me know which window I can use.
  6. Why thank you ... hopes for a great Animation Master year ahead for all.
  7. Just got back from a week out of town...Looks great! May I have window #13?
  8. Very cool! Great characters, action, storytelling, etc..
  9. The best tutorial/explanation is by Yves Poissant! http://www.ypoart.com/tutorials/bevels/index.php
  10. I am back to ver14. I plan on just animating a room/window so I am not sure if the hair/flowers will be an issue for me.
  11. Maybe I'm missing something but to me it seems too easy. If everyone just knows the dimension of the window or has a cut-out or stencil of the window to go by then... Everyone does their scene to fit and renders it without the building or window or anything One person does the render of the transitions from one window to the next. Then each scene could be composited into any window location or even rendered on a plane. Might not be true 3d but...
  12. Everything is amazing...you definitely have modeling down!
  13. All great ideas... Love the commercial block idea. It made me picture a tv screen while someone is channel surfing. They wouldn't even all have to be commercials. It could be a short snip it of almost anything. It would almost be the same with the rear window idea.
  14. The blocking looks good. I would work on the timing. It seems very slow, especially for such cartoony characters. Just playing with the slider in quicktime shows a lot. To sell the story or connection I might start the first guy waving his fist off stage left before he sees the oncoming man and then go into his look down, ponder, look up, decide, punch...Also, you have all those things in the first character but then not in the second when it is his turn. He just punches. I'd like to see the second guy go through that same thought process and complete the "cycle".
  15. so it would be something like...run looped. test002.mov
  16. A quick mock-up. Picture a slower pan, more interesting actions, different decor, pauses for watching longer actions, etc. Maybe even model a long set and give each person a section to work with. test000.mov
  17. Won't it look weird with soo many buses crossing all the time. I mean if each shot is 10-30 seconds then that will be a lot of distracting buses/filler. Here's my idea. How about just the street without the bus stop and then do a continuous pan right. If the back plate is tileable then it can be one long take that reveals each new scene. If someone wants to add a bus stop or hydrant or driveway or tree, etc they can but it would just be a long revealing pan.
  18. Camera view? Will it work? The room doesn't have to be right angles, think theater?
  19. Wow! This has a beautiful/fantastic look. Looking forward as well.
  20. Interested.
