  1. Unfortunately you do have to reapply your decals if you add any new splines. The flattening gets messed up too.
  2. Thanks for all the positive comments, guys! I haven't been able to do anything for the past few weeks but I found the drive to make a start on Captain Beany last night. This guy is for real! A Welsh eccentric who became Captain Beany to raise money for charity and probably to put some beans into his life. Good luck to him. Beany_A00b.mov http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Captain_Beany http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7z1BL0sglWI
  3. I love the bird, Marcos! I remember the set too and agree with the points about the streets and the colour. I'm sure that you will do something stunning and memorable, as always. Have fun!
  4. Well done, Gene! I think there could be a little more force in the Reaper's juggling actions but on the whole I would say that is your best yet. Do me a favour... put his hideousness on a bus, (or under it), and send him away for a long holiday. Been seeing too much of his ugly mug lately.
  5. Looks like a bit of fun, Gerry. Do you have a link? I'm not sure where to look for your progress on Atom.com.
  6. Could it be another fart joke?
  7. When reordering items in the hierarchy things do not always update immediately. You may need to hit the spacebar a couple of times before you see the changes take place. Sometimes even the spacebar refuses to refresh the screen so, if it looks like your changes did not take, make sure that you save your project and then immediately load it again. Your changes should now be visible.
  8. That is terrific, Sebastian! Makes me chuckle every time. Clever stuff and very nice animating too!
  9. This looks very promising, Sebastian! I guess that you were inspired by Burton's "9", which I still haven't seen, and maybe that is necessary to understand the story. I wouldn't like to guess what has brought about this continuously looping nightmare or who the sadistic perpetrator of the crime is but I am intrigued. The polaroid camera puzzles me.
  10. More and more great stuff! I love that squid sub/Nautilus.
  11. Wow! You have been busy, Jake! Terrific stuff!
  12. Not sure what you are implying but ...rock on.
  13. I thought that I would give Cedric a tweak or two. He is still a long way from my thumbnail drawings, which is where I want to take him. For now he just has to get ready to catch a bus. CedricC00_Test00b.mov
  14. Mark, I just wanted to say how pleased I am that you are finally finding a way to make The Wannabes pay! You have done a sterling job throughout and I wish you every success with the new opportunities.
  15. I've seen a bus load of Santas and they must have boarded the bus somewhere. Of course that was in December but there must be lots of reasons why Santa would want to go into town at other times of the year. I'm sure you've already thought of a few.
  16. Looking more awesome all the time, David. Yes, you are going to end up with amazingly detailed models that might cause you headaches when you get around to animating but you could just use these models to generate the normal maps required for some low patch models. (I'm particularly thinking of the fencing here).
  17. Happy belated birthday, Myron! Congratulations on the CD release concert too! The photos are terrific.
  18. I'm sure the bus was due some days ago. I couldn't help playing with this a bit more: I messed up!
  19. Great looking set, Mark! Keep it going.
  20. Fishin' is still moving along slowly, Myron. Very slow but still moving. A bit like the river. I have made a start on my contribution to the "Bus stop" collaboration. Lots to fix and develop but I will wait for the full set to arrive before moving on with this: (Link in next post). That little guy is just a proxy.
  21. Draw out your floor plan with splines in a top view and then extrude your walls. Add floors and ceilings and any other room details. You can add all of the objects to the room in the model itself or in an Action or Choreography. Add your lights, stir and render. You know how to set up a render far better than I do so I will be watching and learning.
  22. BusTest_A00i.mov Just had these actions handy so I threw them into a choreography for fun and to test your set, Mark. I'm itching for the real project and set now. I might develop this accidental sequence into something... but then again I might not.
  23. Can I make the suggestion that the sign is just raised a little so that it doesn't align with the top of the hedge, something like the image above? Other than that, let's get the bus rolling.!
  24. Interesting to see the results. I notice that the tail fins are much thicker on the wax model. Was that a requirement? What are the dimensions?
