For the credits at the end(Hopefully you get that far ), An idea would be to have another one of those guys on another planet playing frisbee with the original one with his ring around his head. That would be fun ! Anyways, how much free time do you get at Pixar? Do they give you time to work on personal projects?
-
Yay! Aww. Anyways, yea I like the characters! Are you going to animate them eventually? -Robert
-
Wow. You guys have everything but the kitchen sink! Oh wait... -Robert
-
Yup. That's a big turtle alright. Amazingly lifelike though. If I ever have the need to buy a gigantic turtle I now know where I can turn. Thanks ! Robert Lazzarini

Hey steve. I mean george, I mean steve. Steve George? George steve? steve steve george steve george? Whatever . (I now realize what Tunames means ) Anyways, I like those characters! Simple, but they look like they'd be great for animating. And now you've got a whole family of them! Cool. Good job! -Robert Lazzarini

Not necessarily bend, what I meant was to have the entire ring around his head tilt, for example like the way a symbol tilts on a drum set when you play it. Sorry for the confusion if any . -Robert

Thom: thanks for the light. That's absolutely hilarious! If you made that into a poster I would buy it instantly -Robert Lazzarini

holy cow , I'm always at awe with what you do. Anyways, This is an issue, especially with those long arms. I'll probably ending up cheating a lot of it and painting or comping out the intersections. Couldn't you make the rings around his head in this case act like the bill of a hat, and move up when/if his arms touch it? That would remove the need to have to 'cheat' a little with it, and possibly save you work in the long run. Just an idea -Robert Lazzarini

Yea, that was definatley funny how that turned out. I kinda half-thought that mine was going to be one of the only ones that took it literally. And as it turned out, everyone's did! funfun. I know! I found that sound clip and the instant I heard it I was like "YES! I so have to use that!" Thanks for taking the time to check it out! -Robert

oooh. My bad! sorry about that. What you said in your first post made me think that you thought that they thought that... nevermind. As far as critiques go, the only thing that I can think of is that there seems to be not a whole lot of things in the picture, and makes it questionable for me how it is related to the contest topic. Other than that, I like the lighting, it makes it look mysterious as the light comes from behind the object in the foreground. Neat, almost spooky even. Great stuff. Hope you do well! -Robert

you've gotta send it to steve@hash.com for it to be put in the contest.

That was cool! The only thing is that its hard to really make out what the object is. Maybe if it stopped and hovered for a bit it would be easier for the viewer to really see it and all the detail you put into it. It does hover now, but more so with its engines facing you. I paused it and it looked really well done, but by having it stop for a bit more would let the viewer have better look at it. -Just a suggestion. Now if you're asking about how the use of sprites worked I'd say that it worked great! The effect of the flames from the engines is practically perfect. So...what's it for? I want one! I'd paint it blue and put racing stripes on it. Keep it in my garage on the weekdays . It'd be fun. Good stuff! -Robert Lazzarini

I really like the look of him... or her... it? Who knows. Anyway, he looks great! Comical looking. Great job! Can't wait to see him/her/it walking around the place! -Robert Lazzarini

Thanks! ya, the synch is off im the beginning, but it was starting to cut it a bit too close to the deadline, so I left it the way it was. I may/may not go back to fix it. If it still bugs me though I just may. I'm glad you guys have liked it so far! Thanks! HA! You noticed the comb-over, nice! Thanks Robcat! Anymore critiques or comments are absolutely welcome! -Robert

Alright! AM Films is up and running now so I could submit it. I'm excited, my first 'short' on AM Films. It was fun to make, took a loong while, but fun nevertheless, I'm glad with the way it turned out . You can find it here Any comments or possible critiques would avsolutely be great to hear. It would be super cool to hear what you guys had to say. Thanks! And hope you like it! -Robert Lazzarini

Yea, I thought you posted the music site in response to a question about where you got the song for your trailer, but whatever. That's cool too. Thanks for the picture! Can't wait to see more! -Robert -
Yup, That's missle command alright. (at least I think that's what I had). I played that on my first computer, a 1983(82?) Macintosh. Black and white, probably an 8x8inch screen. Aww, good times. How did you do that though? Is it hair? actual models? I was thinking about it and couldn't figure it out. Neat effect. -Robert Lazzarini
-
Oooooh. I get it! That's cool! All the models on your site are always top notch! Great stuff! -Robert

Seriously. How far have you gotten? Just out of curiosity. If you want you can post some pictures of some of your progress! I eager to see how this has been going. Thanks by the way for that music site you posted a while back, I'll probably be using some of that for animations and such. -Robert Lazzarini -
