  1. How about trying a regular render but leave the lines on? Here's an example of a project nerazzi was working on and he did this. What happened to that project I wonder. Anyways, here's the link: Nerrazi's post. It'd be neat to see what your guy would look like with that way of rendering. Great work so far! -Robert
  2. Wow. .That's really amazing! Well, I'd say that you've definately got the hang of it! . That's some excellent work. Good job! can't wait to see the finished product! -Robert
  3. In this case I'd suggest using krickets crazycool tutorials. The one labeled head I believe has some parts on this. (Modeling the spikes). From what I understand is that you need to make one strand at a time. It looks like you've done that, but started connecting them. This you do not necessarily need to do however. Can you post a different angle of that as well? Thanks! -Robert
  4. That is really good! I like the textures you used on it. Adds to the realism. -Robert
  5. That leg looks really really really really really... really cool! The way you set up the construction of the leg looks really well done, so much though as it looks actually plausible and realistic. Great job! -Robert
  6. I'd suggest doing detached hair spikes for several reasons. One of which is that it'll be a whole lot easier to not try to attach them all (believe me, I've tried, and failed ). Also, if your going to be using toon render when you render him at the end (which I'm assuming you will), detached hair spikes will show up just that much more and create more and better detail in the hair I would think. The only thing I noticed about the picture you just posted is the placement of his hair. The pony tail should be closer to the bottom of the hair, since all (or most) of his hair goes into it. Keep up the pace! -Robert
  7. Don't let it get to you. Its just something to learn from ! Anyways, how goes the progress? -Robert
  8. I kinda sorta half agree with the whole whit eyeball thing. It think its because of how it looks glossy, in a sense. However, I do like the white eye on the mask a bit more than with out it, but it would be interesting to see what it would look like with an actual eye. Have you tried to see what it would look like with more ambience, to kinda seperate it from the rest of him a bit? -Robert
  9. Amazing work Colin. I like the new suit. It's cool! I just hope I can model like that in the future. Like as in within the next week, so I can enter the next image contest and hold a sporting chance -Robert [Edit]- Just out of curiosity, but are you ever planning on making a villain to go with you're super hero? From the way your hero turned out, there's no telling to how cool your villain would turn out. Just a thought
  10. Colin you're alive! What was it like... the outside world? Anyways, Wow, that's a lot more simple than I would have imagined it would be.
  11. I'd suggest for modeling hair is refurring to Kricket's tutorial at demented3d.com , I haven't ever attempted to model hair. Well, ok, maybe once, but it wasn't too successful .
  12. Nice! That's really good stuff. All sonic games are good in my opinion. And the picture of the original Chaos control you did. Great work! Keep it up! -Robert
  13. What I do, its more work, but never messes up the way copy/flip/attach has for me on a few occasions. Instead of copy/flip/attach, I copy the entire thing, flip it along the x axis, then delete the spline that runs down the middle of the face, then attach it by hand. But for the problem your having its probably because the cps on the y axis aren't exactly on it, just select the spline there, go to properties, then scale the x axis of the group you just selected to zero. Hope that helps! -Robert
  14. ooooo. yes please ! That is, if you don't mind. -Robert
  15. By the way, when did that air on cartoon network? It says November 2004, but I never remember seeing it. Hmm... Anyways, Good luck! -Robert
  16. On the lines of tutorials, here's a good one: Head tutorial Only problem is its not in English ,well, a problem for me anyways, since I can't read it. But anyways, the pictures are pretty self explanatory. Thanks for the front wireframe! That helps. Ok so, the third strand of cps needs to be pushed back a little so the face is a bit more rounded. Other than that, the spots where you have three cps going to one spot will end up giving you trouble. Don't forget to stick to the tutorials! They help a lot. Keep up the good work! -Robert
  17. Why in disguise? Do you know how hilarious it would be to have an animation where someone is confronted by the devil and its him? I'm laughing just thinking about it! Like, you'd see this big shadow, And then a close up of his eye, and then it would zoom out to be him ! Markus, your character has just too much potential! -Robert
  18. I think everyone should buy Wegg's materials. They're just soo darn good. Its almost too tempting to put everything on that site into the shopping cart .
  19. Holy cow . You guys really do great work, that you do; yup yup yup. -Robert
  20. Once again, that's a great character. I could imagine so many different personalities from it. Anything from the personality of a young puppy to a wise old wizard. Can't wait to see him animated. -Robert
  21. Could you post a wireframe of the front too? It looks like the eye is a bit too far forward or the seperation between the eye and the ridge line of the nose is a bit too great. (does that make sense? ) So yea, a wireframe of the front would help too. -Robert
  22. That's pretty cool! But, how'd you do it? That last animation test, its not hair, is it?
  23. Good luck! Glad I could help. Don't forget to post your progress -Robert
  24. Wow. That's really generous of you to donate that to the CD. Thanks! -Robert
