  1. I like the idea of the 2d face. I haven't seen the two games you mentioned, but I imagine its kind of the same idea with the latest zelda game for gamecube. The jacket looks well done (especially with such a low spline count.) But I'd have to agree with Ross about the belly, but perhaps its her entire waist that's a bit big. Also, were you planning on keeping the jeans detail on her pants like on the first picture? It didn't look too shabby for real-time. .
  2. I made a monster head. I never made the body though. I was thinking something like a Gecko? or maybe mix it with KenH's model. scary_monster.mdl
  3. Those are awesome! Great stuff
  4. It looks pretty cool. But almost too transparent. Its also kind of hard to see. Try making it less transparent or less reflective. At first it took me a while to recognize the whole shape on the pillow. Other than that, it rocks (no pun intended )
  5. This is my second attempt at a dragon. I didn't give it teeth yet, and i didn't color it. But its still cool . little_dragon2.mdl
  6. Headless Bill gave me an idea. how about titlting the camera so its not level. It could add that tad bit of spookiness to really give someone the shivers.
  7. So... I made this dragon right, but I have absolutely no idea how to go about rigging it. I would get The Setup Machine, but its a tad bit expensive. I'm posting a picture of the whole thing shaded and wireframe. If it helps I can post more pics of close-ups of certain areas. (i.e. the legs, neck, tail, wings, etc.) Any ideas would be great. Thanks
  8. I used to try and render large scenes like this and it also crashed for me too. But I figured out that if I was only going to use the one frame (because its a still picture) I would only need to render the first frame. So I set the frame range on the rendering window to start at 00:00:00 and end at 00:00:01. I was then able to render the image and it did not crash. Hopefully the same will work for you. (I hope that all made sense. If not, here is a picture of what I'm talking about.)
  9. It would be interesting to see your progress on your project, so don't forget to post stuff as you move along. Does your game have an interesting plot? (I've always wanted to make a game, so seeing someone else do it is awesome.) Good luck
  10. Spooks me out just looking at it. Good job!
  11. Its not exactly the scariest monster. But a monster none the less. little_devil.mdl
  12. Wow. You're sure putting a lot of detail into this model. It's turning out great.
  13. So far its turning out pretty well. I'd like to see another picture of its finished. Your doing great on the patch count. Anyway, how do you make a game? Is it for a company? It sounds like a fun (but time consuming) project. Good luck with it. Robert
  14. Robcat! Thank You Sooo much! That's exactly what I needed to do. Thanks again Robert
  15. Ok so, I'm working on a school project and I'm having some trouble. I haven't had too much experience in the choreography window. I have an action where my character is walking (and its constrained to a path). Then I want him to stop and do another action. What I've been doing is importing the other action after the first one is complete. But instead of stopping, both actions end up occuring on the same path. And instead of the first action finishing at the end of the path, it finishes in the middle. And the part where he is supposed to stop ends up taking place over the rest of the path. I tried to explain it clearly. If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it a lot. Thanks Robert Lazzarini (P.S> would anyone know how to make a website or if there is any place where I can post short actions I've made?)
  16. That's a comical looking character you've got there! I like the way it's turning out. Can't wait to see it in animated. robert
  17. Sorry I haven't posted in a while, my internet is down at my house. . Oh well. I created a new action and it's still doing the same thing. But, i tried one of my older actions on it and it worked. I can't figure out why though. maybe my way of creating an action changed without me noticing? So this is how I make an action.(or at least the last two.) Please let me know if this is right. First I went to my model and went to new, action. Then I moved the bones around five frames at a time( for him running). then I saved it as an action. Then I import the model in the choreography, right click on it, and import my action. Soo... Does someone know what I'm doing wrong? Thanks- Robert
  18. OK, so I'll post more later because I'm in kind of a rush. But does this pic of my choreography help any? Thanks! -Robert
  19. Rodney: (Har har har...grumble grumble.) lol I do have an action applied to the character. As soon as I apply it, it does this. I am using the 2004 version. ZPiDER: How do you take a screenshot? -robert
  20. Alright so, what I've done is( I hope you don't mind ) I recreated your catepillar and rigged it so I could fiddle with it to figure out your problem with it. What I realized is that you need a bone for every time you extruded the circle for the body. Instead, you've put a bone for every five times (approximately). So you get chuncks of it bending. ( I think). Here's a picture with it rigged and with it in a pose. Hope this helps. -robert (note: I didn't rig the antennae so they aren't attached to the catepillar)
  21. Looks cool! though, you might want the lightning to happen a bit faster and maybe a bit more jagged. I look forward to your final scene! Robert
  22. Ok, so...I put my character into a new choregraphy. import an action. And end up with this. Double the character. (but not double the fun. ). Does anyone know why this is happening? Help...would be awesome. -Robert.
