#1-At first glance, I'd have to guess... the martian queen from duck dogders? #2- It looks good with the realistic render. #3- not a clue.

So...I made a new sword. All comments are welcome- Robert P.S. does anyone know how to get something like this to stay in the hand of a character when animating. Some kind of constraint maybe...? Thanks!

Yeah, you were totally right on the amount of mesh I have on the cables, so I changed that by a lot. I've been trying to figure out how to rig it, but I'm having trouble with the elbows. I can't seem to get them to work right. I'd like to have them do something like in the picture when the arms move. If anyone had suggestions on how I can rig it... I'm all ears! Thanks- Robert

...and a wireframe: -also, I'm still trying to find a name for it. I was thinking something out of Greek mythology maybe. Suggestions would be great. -robert

So I was reading through the post by Grubber called Mecha. And I was inspired. So I made a robot. I'm still trying to figure out if I like the legs and the feet though. I also can't seem to come up for a name for it. All suggestions and comments are most definitley welcome. -Robert

Well, I'm no pro, but... So far its looking good, but most of the light in the picture should be coming from the moon 'cause its night time, and there wouldn't be as much showing in front of the wolf. Instead, there would be a thin line of moonlight outlining the edge of the wolf and the rock its on. Also (unless its the look your going for) you could make the sky more of a dark blue with gray clouds instead of black with gray clouds. Because in a forest, even at midnight, the sky is still slightly blue, and not pitch black. Umm... other than that, some more trees on the right would look good too. Good luck on your project! Robert (P.S.- your web site's pretty cool )

So...I've been modeling a new character. But I started to work on the foot, and I completed a little more than half of it. But for some reason there is an area which is protruding from it, that always ends at 0,0 on the grid; no matter where I put the rest of the foot. This happened to me before and I was able to fix it. But this time, the "thing" has no CP's or splines or anything. I don't know how it got there, but it just won't go away. Its totally brought my work to a screeching halt. If Someone could solve this mystery I would appreciate it very much. Thanks! Robert Lazzarini

Whew! that's all of them. I'm still making two more models that I am going to put (along with these) in a short. The last frame will be similar to the first picture I posted. In my family, its very chaotic to get everyone together for a group foto. So, the short will be about that chaos of trying to get a family foto. No idea when I'll finish it though. . Anyway, hope you like the individual pics. Comments are always welcome.

Actually, for some reason, I'm having some trouble making the picture bigger. sorry. I'll try and fix the problem and then post a bigger picture. Thanks for the feedback though.

I just finished seven of my characters and put them into a picture together. I know I have to fix the mouth on the big green guy, but other than that, I would appreciate your comments! Thanks, Robert

my entry for the upcoming"space"animation contest
lazz posted a topic in Work In Progress / Sweatbox
Ok, so. I'm assuming that somebody knows of the upcoming "space" animation contest. And I was wondering if anyone could help me out. I'm trying to have the camera zoom out in one part of the animation. Its supposed to start zooming out slowly, and then speed up. but, instead, before it starts to go faster, its zooms in. And I can't figure out why. its mind-boggling . So, if anyone could help, that would be really cool. Thanks, robert -
Ya, dude, just like he said. It looks as if you are trying to make the whole car at once. that's kinda difficult. I tried making a car doing that and I just couldn't make it work. So instead, start off with making all the parts to the car seperately, then just get them all the appropriate size and put them together. i.e. doors, hood, bumper, etc... good luck
