  1. Hey nerazzi. Great stuff. I really like the robot character. Both are really well done. The boy's forehead though looks really big, maybe some hair coming out from under the hat might take away that feeling. Both are looking really good. Great stuff. Always in awe of your work.
  2. Congrats Stian That's really cool! How much change was there from the Bismark to the Tirpitz? They both look amazing. Great work
  3. Ken, each version just keeps gettin better and better! Its really coming along well and I'm really lookin forward to seeing it completed! Goin great Ken! -lazz
  4. That's looking good Nekosei its coming out great. Can't wait to see it finished
  5. Thanks Rodney! I will no kidding I may look into getting a figurine to help as a reference. It's really helpful as you said to be able to actually look at it and turn it around and stuff. And it'd look cool on my computer desk too. I just might do that. Thanks Patrick! So as far as updates go, here's what I've got. I've been workin off and on today but managed to finish the hands, add the shoulder pads, and I also flattened the chest a bit. I think it was a little overkill the way it was. Cool! Let me know what ya think. thanks! later- lazz
  6. Hey! Thanks everyone for commenting, you rock. dude: I agree, so I played around with his head using the manipulator tool and I think I like it more now. And ya, does anyone know why he has those ear things? I never really got it either, but it looks kinda cool so I'm goin with it. dborruso: Ya its all geometry. Here's a wire too to look at. I've been studying Colin Freeman's Demon from a while ago, and just looking at his work has really helped my understanding of splining. Thanks Magnus! Nightcrawler is definately cool too. They portrayed him differently than I thought they would in the movie though. Rodney: I know! I was surprised that I got the first go around at it. He's a somewhat popular character from what I thought too. Ya, I'll post a picture I'm using as a reference. The ear flaps are pretty big, but I still toned them down a notch or two. Also, I've added arms. That, along with his head is what I've done so far. More to come -lazz And the reference photo:
  7. I've been meaning to make wolverine for a while now. He was and still is my favorite character from X-men. The version I'm doing is the one from the old X-men arcade series. Definately one of the best arcade games. Anyways, I started on him last night and this is where I am today. Comments and Crits are appreciated! Thanks! Later- Lazz
  8. I finished this yesterday and am currently working on the rig. My friend requested that I make a spider character for her so I came up with this. Its based off of a daddylonglegs. Let me know what you think! Thanks! -lazz
  9. That turned out really good Eric
  10. beautiful work agep. keep it up
  11. Your work is some of the best work I've ever seen done with A:M. Good job.
  12. That problem you said you had has happened to me in the past with models with too high a patch count. Like rediculously high numbers. That plus textures n such. My computer like can't handle it and'll shut down whenever i try to open them. BUT. Anyways. That's looking really good Zaryn. even better WITH the armor (which looks TOTALLY cool). Sooo... ya! Great work! Can't wait to see the finished image. Later!
  13. Lol no kidding about it not being animation friendly. Haha. Well, based on the looks of it so far the image is gonna turn out awesome. 11K!? Yikes. My computer would have a fit. Well, keep up the good work Zaryn its looking great!
  14. I just downloaded it. I love it. Its so cool! Ya, I too am dying to see how you did it but ya. Just wanted to let ya know again how cool it is. Great job!
  15. I can't wait for that it should be really cool. I like what you've done with this model its turning out really good. Very good, actually. Just out of curiosity, what's the patch count? Its looking good Zaryn keep up the great work!
  16. That's an awesome character. Insanely well done. There's so much character in it. Great job!
  17. Wow, time flies. Well, I'm back. And I made a rig for my character. I learned a lot from your face rigging tutorial thanks a WHOLE lot for sharing the link for it david. You rock. So here's a clip of the rig I made in action. Or at least at the arm. One more question, I have half the body rigged. Is there a way to copy and flip all the relationships and bones that I've got to rig the other side? I know there is, I just haven't figured it out yet i guess. Oh, and when i finish rigging it would you want it for the next A:M CD or somethin?Cool! let me know what you guys think! Thanks! rig_test1.mov
  18. Wow I read through your squetch rig thread itsjustme. That's a whole lot of work you've put into that i really want to try it out. It'd be cool to understand rigging as well as you do. I dont understand setting up IK/FK relationships or how to assign a null into a rig and CP weighting . Its waaay over my head at this point. lol. Sooo in the meantime I've just been workin with what I've got. I've made another quick animation. A roll type action. Let me know what you guys think. Fluidity of motion and whatnot. Cool! Thanks guys! Later- rolltest1.mov
  19. VERY cool colin. Awesome work. Any chance of a wireframe? The modeling is superb and it'd be really neat to see. Cool stuff. Later-
  20. Thanks guys, I'm glad you like it. Here's an animation clip I just did. Its just a simple run test. Lemme know what you think. Oh. And Zaryin, what’s the squetch rig and the FACE rig? I don’t really understand the whole art of rigging and constraints and stuff and it’d be cool to be able to make working rigs on my own. Thanks! Cool. Later- runtest.mov
  21. Hey everybody. Whats goin on? I haven't posted much lately, last thing I was doing was working on my "jaguar xk" car but my computer crashed and I lost the file. Kindof a bummer, but I'll get over it. So, I was gettin kinda tired with just modeling and wanted to get to animating. So I made a basic character that'd be pretty easy to animate. Its all rigged and stuff but just with the TSM2 rig (no smartskin or fan bones or nuthin). I figured I'd put it up here for comments and critiques and if you guys want it later I could donate it to the forum or the next CD or somethin. K. Cool. Lemme know what you think. Later-
  22. Ok, here it is. It was for a character I came up with so its semi cartoonish, but based on what some real armors looked like. Let me know if you want to use it and I'll send it to you via email. If you dont want it then whatever. Cool! Good luck with everything. later-
  23. Oh, hey, that's convenient. I've got a samurai model I was working on a while ago. Its just the armor though, never got around to the face and feet and hands, buuut... Its pretty good. (well, I like it at least lol) If you want it for like some random guy in the background or somethin you can have it. Let me know if you're interested. Cool. later-
  24. Going for a touch of realism eh? lol HOLY COW! That is looking REALLY great. I like the stand and the backdrop too. Very, very cool. Good work! Keep it up!
