  1. Well, timing is everything in life. You reccomended I contact Bristol Community College; do they use A:M there? I don't know if they teach A:M there. I was only suggesting that there may be students interested. RISD would probably be another college to explore student interest in A:M.
  2. I'm glad George is moving on and put his franchise in capable hands. Although I'm befuddled why he stated he has other experimental films he wants to do and didn't want to drag his company through that. That's why he created Lucasfilm in the first place so he could do his own films. Happy retirement George, may the force be with you.
  3. Kelley, unfortunately I'm two decades too late to meet you as my wife and I moved from Fall River to Fort Lauderdale. Perhaps you can post at the local colleges I graduated Bristol Community College there.
  4. Rob, When I manually scrub through the video the ball never touches the ground on the second bounce and actually rolls forward two frames before the upward motion. The ball also changes colors and loses opacity at the top of the second bounce. Otherwise I can't tell where you transitioned the real ball for the animated one. Really cool animation overall.
  5. MMZ, Thanks for the reply. I'm a huge fan of SCI Channel "How It's Made" and the like. I recently watched a great episode where they showed how "end mills" are machined. Your animation reminded me of that and it truly is a nice animation for explaining how a drill bit works. I agree that the change to a cresent moon shape for the particles is better.
  6. Really nice. Did you actually animate the RPMs increasing on the drill bit because it looks as if it is. The motion blur is terriffic. Would you show how you modeled the drill bit? I would like to see the profile curve. It would be cool if you modeled tool markings, such as the bit size and manufacturer, on the bit. It would help show the spinning if the eye had a point of reference to focus on.
  7. Really nice modeling. The reduced facial modeling is much improved. The only thing that looks bizarre is the bones in feet. You modeled arches on the outer sides of the feet.
  8. Coming from the state known for voting scandals I say the incumbent held its position for the required term and the new party was voted in. It doesn't have to be unanimous.
  9. Have these videos been uploaded to A:M Films?
  10. John, I think it needs more refinement. It looks more like the lips are quivering. On another note, no pun intended, I laughed when I heard the song because my 9 y.o. daughter listens to that song all the time.
  11. Sorry, I misspelled brassiere as brazier. I should have said bra. Just different names for womens undergarments. A brazier actually holds hot coals or fire.
  12. It looks really good, however her arms are emaciated in proportion to the rest of her figure and especially her expressive hand size. I'm also not sure if her breasts are intentionally lumpy. It appears as if you were modeling in some type of brazier or bodice. Fixing those areas would really improve upon the model.
  13. Where can I find this history page? Greetz, Elm. I don't know if there is one but there certainly should be one. Perhaps someone could post it on the Facebook Timeline or on Wikipedia.
  14. Much, much better. I think you need to add lips to the characters mouth to keep it from looking like a puppet. Notice when people speak they purse or pucker their lips to form certain sounds Keep watching the video of the singer. Look at his facial expressions to get a feel for when he closes his eyes. Currently you have random eyes blinks in the video. Some blinks should pause longer.
  15. Nice find. This should go into a Hash history page. The price of the software has barely changed in 30 years. I wonder what would have happened if Martin had an IPO for the company back at the height of the software boom? I'm glad he didn't because I probably could not have afforded it anyway.
  16. Mouseman, thanks for the reply. Unfortuntely it works the same way in 16 & 17 on my computer. Steffen resolved the problem for me.
  17. Ok, now I know why your lipsync looks peculiar. When you open your mouth your teeth are right behind the lips and as wide as the inside of the cheeks. The characters teeth are too small for the mouth so when I watch this my brain doesn't accept the lipsync. Your character appears like compressed air is being blown into his mouth from an airhose. His cheeks puff out really far. Keep working at it. I know you'll get it.
  18. The sign in is exactly the same for my 17.4 beta. Any suggestions? Is there a file I should look at to see if it is corrupt?
  19. Yes, I did try that. I should have posted with the previous comment that one can only type numbers in the field.
  20. My serial number is listed as "Web subscription." I never received a serial number, only an activation code. I attempted to use the activation code in place of the serial number but I received the error below. I tried using my forum login but that didn't work so for the sake of posting I entered a bogus number.
  21. I keep getting an invalid serial number error message. I tried typing "Web subscription" and then I copied the activation code directly from the Hash Store site. What do I need to do?
  22. I also agree the chin should move the same distance as the teeth do. I also noticed you are exaggerating the mouth positions. I guess this is fine but not truly representative of the actual singer. Keep watching the video and observe him closing his eyes while he is singing. He really feels the music. Try to capture that in your characters face. Notice how the real singer tips his head down when he closes his eyes. The video is pretty amazing. I don't speak the language but I understand he lost the use of his left arm. The ability to use is one hand to strum and hold the chords is incredible.
  23. Is TSM2 (The Setup Machine) still available for A:M? I don't see it listed on Anzovin's site. I only see the one of Maya.
