  1. Happy Birthday, David Seymour (Dagooos)!
  2. Okay, one more "stay alive" post for this thread. I'm just now starting to get a little free time, so maybe I can get a couple of things back on track this week.
  3. Happy Birthday, Jody (MMZ_Timelord)!
  4. Happy Birthday, Marcos (Xtaz)!
  5. Thank you so much Any chance you can make a vid tutorial on how you created this? I think it would help the community. I've got a couple of tutorials planned...I'll add one on this as well while I'm at it.
  6. This may not be as dense as you're after, but I think it works in general. Hope that helps, Jason. cubes_01_14_2013.zip
  7. I would make a low density cube, then run the Splitpatch plugin. Hope that helps, Jason.
  8. The bathroom in question is from this thread. Made by Rob Shematek (dreamin3d).
  9. Thanks, Steffen! Some great fixes and upgrades.
  10. I haven't checked the Windows version of Krita yet, but I did an experiment with installing Linux Mint on a 16GB thumb drive. I installed and ran Krita as well as Kdenlive and Cinelerra...all worked fine. I would recommend using a USB3 drive though. I'll have to do a lot of playing with the programs, but it was a very promising test. The combination allowed me to create and edit OpenEXR images and edit HD video...would definitely help with my project. I made a quick OpenEXR image, saved it to a Windows format thumb drive (I could have saved it to the main drive, but I was being careful the first time), booted Windows and used it as a decal in A:M. So, I should be able to go from one OS to the other pretty easily.
  11. Krita can handle OpenEXR images in either the Mac or Linux versions (the Windows version doesn't presently). For someone on Windows, you could install a version of Linux on a thumb drive and run it from there. Indeed there is a windows version (alpha, but working really fine here W7-64bit) that can be found in Caligra Suite The last time I checked, the Windows version did not include the ability to work with OpenEXR images...Mac and Linux versions could though. I don't know if that has changed.

  13. Absolutely.
  14. It's looking better. There are still areas that could use beveling and there are a few dead-end splines you could get rid of by either having those splines go all the way around the top of the gun or by ending in hooks...I would just go all the way around. Those dead-ended splines will give you some irregularities when you render. I marked up what I could see in the image, but every edge would look better with a bevel on it. Hope that helps.
  15. Happy Birthday, Rodney!
  16. It it's for a low-poly game, it's probably fine...otherwise, I recommend beveling every edge. Just my opinion.
  17. I'll have to use another "stay alive" post for this thread...a couple more weeks to go before things level out. Still doing some small bursts of modeling, just not enough to show yet.
  18. Great stuff, William!
  19. Nice card, Marc!
  20. There is also Cinelerra. I'm not sure of the comparison to Lightworks, but, from what I can tell, Cinelerra is extremely powerful.
  21. Here's my attempt (not perfect, but passable)...maybe a little late. tube_test.mdl
  22. Great stuff, Serg!
  23. I just posted an update to the standalone FACE rig here. When my schedule calms down, I'll get back to updating the entire Squetch Rig.
  24. Here is a standalone FACE rig update...a few minor things have changed and are mentioned in the instructions text. There are more fixes and updates that will probably happen when the entire rig gets updated...I need to get back to that when my schedule returns to normal. If anyone finds a problem with the files, let me know and I'll correct it as quickly as possible. ----------------------- EDIT ----------------------- This file was deleted, the next release is located here.
