Goss Posted August 4, 2017 Posted August 4, 2017 I don't know if this belongs here or not. Here's my problem. I had a Win7 machine that I downloaded and installed v19 on. I bought a one year subscription. It died, the machine did. I bought a new computer. It's pretty bad-@ss. I used my old invoice and link and downloaded and installed the program but my activation code says that it's already in use (by me). I've contacted about transferring my license like two weeks ago and never heard back from them. What can I do? I'm not exactly looking forward to spending another $80.00 to put the program on this new computer when my current subscription is only a month old. Any suggestions? Quote

I installed it, and a little window opened up when I started it up after install, and it asked for the activation code. all i had was stuff in the license or .lic file. It didn't like that. Fuchur Posted November 2, 2017 Posted November 2, 2017 Hi Reidh, you need to copy the lic-file to your installation folder of A:M. (next to the file "Master_64.exe" or "Master.exe") and it should be named "master0.lic". (not "master0.txt") If you already have a master0.lic, rename it to something else (best is something like "master1.bak") If the little window for the activation is poping up, the lic-file is not working / not available or the trial has expired. Got one via the forum but now can't install it, I sent an email asking for the number, unfortunately haven't heard back from support yet. Tried today using the serial number from an earlier purchase. It isn't that complicated but there is a lot of misinformation out there that makes it seem to be. For instance: I bought a full version of V19 on 28th November and couldn't find the place to download it (?), only the subscription version. There is only one 'version' in this respect. There isn't a different installer for this that or the other thing. It is the license (and it's various flavors which allows one year or permanency. No CD. (You can download and put the installer on a CD but... that'd be strange... don't do that) There is just an installer for Windows and an equivalent installer for the Mac. The program is not different for a subscriber vs trial vs perpetual license (it's the same program). The license just allows a few days (trail license), one year (annual subscription) or permanent use (perpetual license). Installation-wise... The installer has to be run in order for the program to run. The license file (master0.lic) must be placed in the same folder as the program for it to run. If the license file isn't in the installation directory A:M will ask for an activation code (in order to create the license file). The activation code is obtained at time of purchase (through Hash Inc). Troubleshooting-wise If the installer isn't run the program won't work If the license file isn't in the program directory the program won't run The license file is linked to the specific computer it is activated on so will not work on other hardware. In the case of hardware update (new computer, etc.) Hash Inc will need to issue a new activation code to update the license. Quote
