Hash Nostalgia

Hello Hashers;

The good thing about time passing is that good memories remain. Recently, I was reminiscing about all the great art made by my software over the years, and decided to collect everything I have gathered since the mid-80s, post some, and write what I remember was happening at the time. As a charter member of the A:M community, I thought you might be interested too.

BTW, A:M is still being maintained & sold online and at comicons.

Enjoy,

Martin Hash

Love the 'comic book' manual.

Loveit.Loveit.Loveit. :)

Added: I note a minor discrepancy/transposition in Martin's documentation/attribution of rendering.

The image attributed to Rod Altschul (here) was created by the equally talented Stian Ervik Wahlvig.

Rod's renderings can be found on Martin's forum in a number of places including here.

How time is running....almost 10 years passed by since.....

As Martin states: His name stands on the company and he was responsible.

He surely made many mistakes as well, amongst them were his intransperency.

Many very talented people simply lost their trust and so they left.

The fact that the promise of the one man, one movie philosophy never could be realised with A:M by one artist up to now was another part.

Nevertheless aside from these much too high expectations A:M is still a very powerfull

tool thats great fun to use.

Its a pity, that some greater visions for its future seem to be lacking at the moment.

Edit:As for visions, i know, its probably not really possible right now, but as some one stated on another forum. An app like what zbrush is for sculptmodeling would do the same just for animation is missing.

Alembic could transfer these hash animations into the other apps maybe.

Kind of competitor for mixamo or motionbuilder....
