TheSpleen Posted October 29, 2009 Posted October 29, 2009 In my new video I need it to lightly snow. Any ideas on the best way to do this? Sprites maybe? Quote
John Bigboote Posted October 29, 2009 Posted October 29, 2009 Here is a clip from a spot where I used a 'sprite' for 3D snow with forces blowing it about. I originally tried a cheezy snow generator in After Effects but because of the camera move it looked quite 2-dimensional. I was very pleased with the 3D results I got in A:M http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yhv88Vakq6Y Quote

jimd Posted October 29, 2009 Posted October 29, 2009 here's a snow tut i found not mine not sure who, but it will work for you play with the settings once you get the snow making_snow.mov Quote
Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted October 29, 2009 Hash Fellow Posted October 29, 2009 I used particle streaks for this snow the key to making the snow flutter is to put a force, with turbulence added, at the side to add some variety to the streak's motion as they fall. Quote
