  1. Thanks for pointing that out Ross. If it was something I would have wanted to know. Here's another pose I threw together. I know it's not perfect, but I just wanted to test what the Set-up machine did to my Spidey. I also darkened the costume and changed the spec color. For some reason the gradient I am using on him is blocking my spec pattern out *sigh*. Now I just need an idea for a nice pic for him. Jeff B.
  2. Beautiful economy of splines. I still can't seem to get a face looking that good with so little splinage.

    Photon Room

Wow, I can't wait for the tutorial on this. The lighting is exceptional.
  4. Great trailer. I can't wait to see the movie.
  5. LOL, I was thinking the same thing. I was also thinking of a low intensity key light tied to just the aliens as well. Nicely done.
  6. The only two problems I have is the hair, which looks pretty good, needs to come farther down to just above the ear. And the shin area needs a little reworking.
  7. First let me say that your stuff is awesome MixePix. Thanks for the compliments on Nerdy, guys. I didn't have any plans on animating this guy, even though I did get him rigged (kind of) with the Egiington Rig. I don't really know what I'm doing in that area. I finally bought the Setup machin and got my Spider-man character rigged. It's not perfect, but it look pretty good with a few fan bones and some smartskinning thrown in :).
  8. I would add more color variation to the base green color. I would also make the wrinkle map first, then add it as a "Multiply" layer to the color map to give a little color to the wrinkles. I think this is looking excellent.
  9. I would also agree with Jim. Trust me, most of modeling is actually the smoothing prossess (at least for me). The more you tweak, the better you'll get at it. Great start.
  10. LOL. I haven't seen it with the people in there. I think that is Elvis, it looks like him to me. Swiny is looking great too. I will post a character pic I finished for a contest on another forum.
  11. I'm not an expert on mechanical modeling, but I think the area by the door is way too indented. Other than that, I think it feels plastic. That's probably just the mat you are using for now though :).
  12. The textures are looking pretty good so far.
  13. It looks pretty good to me. I would love to use displacement, but I am going to have to build my character with hooks, 3, and 5- point patches hidden in areas to get it to work. Hopefully, one day they will fix the problem.
  14. I think I agree with CRToonMike on this one. I would also make the dark area a little reflective with maybe a slight glow and no, or little specularity, just to get more away from the Spidey look.
  15. Hey AMAR, nice model and modeling. If the helmet hair works for you keep it. i think it looks pretty good.
  16. I like your splinage. Other than that do what Jim said .
  17. Your models are great. I really like that pig, haha (he makes me laugh).
  18. Let me just say that I suck at rigging. Anyone who can finish did a good job to me .
  19. These are amazing! I agree with others when say say you should post these at CGTalk. These will grab attention.
  20. For the amount of time you did this in this is very good. I liked it.
  21. This is a great model. Did they even have 5-point patches and hooks in 7.1?
  22. Thanks AMAR. Just to let you know my Spider-man is 6 feet tall. I don't know if I will be adding any more texture detail to him.
  23. Thanks Ross. I don't actually have a bump map on him. It's a spec projection map, that's it. I also don't know exactly what you were talking about with the legs thing. If you could be more specific...? Here is an updated logo. Larger and moved down into a position closer to the comics. Jeff B.
  24. I don't know much about the animation side of things, but it looks pretty good to me. I think that first head movement seems a little stiff. And there could be some sound effects for the bowl and first. That's about all I could crit.
  25. It's looking good. If you want it to pop you should add and extra ring of splines where the shirt meets the flesh, and then pullit out. This will make it look more like the shirt is a seperate piece. I would still lengthen the fingers.
