  1. Thanks, I'll try that.
  2. Ok, I know this has been covered many times.....I have v15, and I downloaded the data file. The models appear, some of the actions appear, two materials appear. Everything from my Extra CD appears. I can't get my materials and actions to show up. I know I did the file location correct, because I have my extra CD's data in my libraries. Any ideas? I'm on a Mac using 10.4 Thanks
  3. I'm not able to play it. Can you post it as a quicktime file?
  4. Is there any Mac downloads? or am I out of luck?
  5. Some times closing and reopening the model works. You may want to post what version you're on.
  6. Does anyone have a mac version?
  7. I emailed the company yesterday. I received this reply: Thanks for the compliment, Andy. Yes, we have declared that TSM for AM is freeware and can be freely shared. 8. Please let me know if a Mac version is available! It sounds like this TSM would be a nice upgrade to AM.
  9. You may want the head to look up and then sharply look down.
  10. I down loaded the web version, and I have to enter my name and organization every time I start this thing. I'm on a Mac, did I miss something in the install?
  11. When I bought the disk, you were allowed to update for a year, then the next version came out, no more updates.
  12. I've had both. It's nice not to have the CD in the machine when ever you run the program. I just started the download a few weeks ago. I have to say HASH is good about helping, I was having trouble with the access code, they worked to get it resolved. If you look at this way: You can spend 300 and be done (after updates with in the year) or 50 a year, and get 6 updates. If you want to try the program, I can't see any better way then to pay the 50, and test it out.
  13. You may have to extend the chor. range. A picture of your timeline may help.
  14. Ok, I down loaded the folders. Perhaps I'm jumping a head. I opened the models, and nothing appears. It's there in the properties, but no bones are visible. I'm just starting to watch the tutorials, but so far they don't cover this. Any suggestions?
  15. Very Cool John!
  16. Do you mean you keyframed each light with an image, or an image sequence and dropped it on the light? Very Cool. Do you have an example?
  17. That's great that you are able to use AM for production. I'll check out those spots you linked at home (They filter out uTube here). So far I've had to work with 3ds at ITT, and soon Maya. I bring in examples of AM when ever I can. At least it's a program that students can afford, and still learn the 3D trade.
  18. Hey John, You're not too far. Teaching a program will help sharpen your skills, that's for sure, but doesn't cut down on your time for working on your own stuff? That's what I've been running into anyway. A Hash group would be cool. Do you use AM at work or one of the "Other" programs?
  19. I think if you can key frame a light, then you could key frame images. I don't know about video. That will be one to try later.
  20. Thanks, I'll let you know how it works out.
  21. Glad you liked it. I can't take full credit for this. I teach some night classes at ITT Tech in Troy. I'm teaching a basic 3ds class, and I saw that you can add a map to their light system, so I tried it on AM. I live in the Clinton Township area. How about you?
  22. I would like to start using the new Squetchy Rig I've been hearing about. 1. Where do I down load it? 2. What version should I download 3. I'm using a Mac, does that matter? Thanks
  23. I was wrong, you can add a picture to a light. I didn't have it on the light in the Chor. Cool!
  24. I added a material to the light. I haven't tried an image yet. ***Just tried a jpg onto the light, it comes out as a rotoscope, and not visible when when I test rendered. But I didn't play with the render settings.
  25. This one is new to me, did you know you can add a material to lights? I knew this was available in other programs so I tried on AM. I read some post about lighting effects, and I thought I would add this. Again, new to me but this could be old news to some.
