I like the first one best. The green sprites look cool. Is it the same model for both images? The head looks different.
-
If the problem is not the graphic card than double click on the image catagory in the project workspace. Then drag the image from there to a modeling window. There will be a box were you can chose between a rotoscope and decal. Pick rotoscope and then resize the image to your hearts content. Then you should be able to model over it. Hope this helped.

Hey would you mind posting the file here when you are done? If not i understand, but i could use one and when you import a 3DS file the quality is subpar. -
Out of curiosity, what site did you get the textures from? I always need stuff like that. The ship looks really good with materials!
-
So did you like set a leaf image for the fur? It looks really good.
-
Yea but is it legal and/or ethical to have it installed on both compters? I dont want to violate anything. I dont those 'thugs' from hash comming to my door. LOL
-
Hey I know how to use trees to make the trunk but how do you add the folliage? Your tree looks really good though.
-
Sorry to jump in but can you have both installed at the same time
-
Nice! I see you got some texturing in. The robot probe looks especially good. I also like how the barrel on the mobile turret looks.
-
I like the models, my only comment would be that the ship looks a little too boxy. Howeaver i like the leval of detail and i guess it does fit in with the look of the other models.

Well when you are in the plugin, there should be a button that is called "render" When you click this there will be a grayscale image in the window. The different shades represent different heights. I sometimes experament to see what different numbers do. *You have to click "render" after you change any of the numer fields to see a result.* You can make a lot of different kinds of terrain with this method. Hope this helped!

Yea hair is a much better option. It is easier to use and is a lot faster to set up. And you can use forces to make it move in the wind!
-
Sorry to jump in but thanks for the help. I was kinda lost regarding simcloth too.
-
Also to start, in a model window, right click and pick Plugins>Wisards>Terrain. With this program and a grayscale image you can make almost any type of terrain

Sweet! I know the fealing. I resently bought the 2007 version of animation master. It is pretty sweet. Believe me, the program and the extras dvd are both really good!

Timing Particles Sprites, Streaks and etc
clonewar12345 replied to Darkwing's topic in A:M Tutorials & Demos
In the coreography set the rate of emission at 0 untill 10 seconds. Than turn it to wateaver rate you want and back to o at 13 seconds. And i dont know if this will work for lens flares as well but i imagine it will if you turn on and off the light when you want the flare
