  1. a cross between "the incredible" and Star Trek "The Menagerie"
  2. I'll have to redo the whole thing, but I will keep that in mind. I modified the model a bit. I was thinking at the time that she has no arms to use for body expression. So, I guess I made up for it by overdoing her body. thank you for the comment! I wanted that.
  3. This was one of my test render for animation. The client decided no arrow for the final. The voice over was from the movie "Finding Nemo" testrenderBowfemale_no_arrow.mov testrenderBow_jump_cycle.mov
  4. http://www.gentlechifitness.com/new_page_10.htm I got word that I can disclosed this, and it was a paid assignment, yee haw! I hope to animate this someday. I have kind of been animating this on the side to make sure it works. This was kind of a fun character to make. Its a compound bow, a fishing rod, and a shotgun. What thought went into how to make a inanimate object to life? It was a task and challenge that I love doing. I wasn't expected to even discern the sex of the object?
  5. I see you use the squetch system, otherwise how would the guy reach for freedom?
  6. One person did it all! I think you have a great future ahead of you. I still can't get over that one person carried this all, and that is the one thing that will set you apart from most of us. I have to link this to the little girl that live with us at various time, and see what she thinks of it.
  7. ground crack was there 2 set of ground and you animated the top ground downward revealing the crack ground below? use animated texture with animated alpha map?
  8. Oh man! where did I miss that instruction? There ought to be a quiz for AM, to see what we didn't know! I wonder who would score the highest if there was a quiz? Owners and employees exempted of course!
  9. http://www.gentlechifitness.com/images/bushspeak.mov still working on it, really off in the middle part of the syncing. Looks more like Howard dean talking than Bush.
  10. Not really, you are now a professional! you got paid for it. That all it takes to be a professional, save all your contract, receipt and so forth to prove that you got paid for it. I got hit by a truck and I had to prove that my injuries effected my work, until I got better. You never know what life has in store for you, but save your contract and file them away. Start establishing your credential, and get used to being called a professional, not everyone can do what you do, and a small percentage of people with your skills are out there I might add.
  11. not what I meant, but okay The shell are the wings of the lady bug you have the legs attach to the wings, instead of the thorax.
  12. I would move the leg inside the shell, instead of the edge of shell (wings)
  13. I would tilt the box forward so I could get my hand under the box to prep for the lift, or the hands over the far edge like you have in the picture. Those heavy box tend to slide off easy by the side. To properly lift heavy object you would squat and let the legs do most of the work.
  14. A large dark green strip with a sharp ridge in the middle with light green semi transparent hair particle over it. The blade itself could be translucent to let light shine through it.
  15. I forgot to mention that you can import sequence file back into AM and then render out to video. you really don't need adobe premiere.
  16. They are called micro-flower flowers that only insect can see. I know you heard of micro-fish, and you need a magnifying glasses just to see the fishing hole. I am sure you heard of micropile on the insect they are...............never mind.....you dont want to know what they are.
  17. I think you get a much cleaner result if you render out to TGA sequences and you have the ability to fix it frame by frame. All major movie studio do clean up work, such as the service of Artbeats studio in Myrtle Creek, Oregon.
  18. That is pretty good and normal. I began to be interested in seeing how well you conserve the patches. Its one thing to create and another to create but conserving as well.
  19. A client have to be insane to not go for it. the works look fantastic, and I cant wait till you have fun animating him. How many patches did the whole thing end up at?
  20. F.U.S.S.E.E.=Field Unit Soldier / Server in Extreme Environment nickname fussy!
  21. do you have the mesh and can you control how much patches you want to use? I'm disecting the male face you put up.Im timing it to see how long versus from scratch.
  22. Its not a bad face Matt! However it is very spline heavy by 2x. any chance to generate something close to a 1000 patch? 1880 is huge if your going add a body and animate it. I am going over it for editing it down to lower patches. If your going to do another one, can you do a girl?
  23. Interesting Idea! I like it. Might even want to make a basic head shape without mouth and eyes. One for various races, maybe. the other tip I would add is when you have a 2 rotoscope to put them on the same window. One for the model to go over the other just to look at it. When you start to get heavy on the spline its nice to just look at the photo without spline over on top. Then at times I'll open 2 window of the 2 views and start pulling cps from both windows. You can download a primitive plugin to make various basic shape, so you don't to have find the 32 patches spheres. much easier to right click wizard/primitives/ and create. Bamm! you have a sphere. http://www.sgross.com/plugins/index.html
