  1. When you open wide your mouth will pull the ouside of th eupper lips down to form an O shape rather than a D shape. Model looks good at low res - any hi res versions of the render? Cheers
  2. Yeah but those mini dustbusters are more ergonomically sound Cheers
  3. Its not about keeping us (the other users) happy. Only legit users of the software can expect support from Hash! Cheers
  4. You can download The Art of Animation Master from the Hash FTP site (ftp://ftp.hash.com/public). Just navigate to the appropriate folder. It will give you an idea of the tutorial outlien Hash has developed for new users. (copy comes with each version of AM) Hash has all this course stuff already figured out for schools - http://www.hash.com/2007web/coursemat.htm. You might want to email Hash and ask about what is available. I beleive Martin indicated that they offer seminars to 'train the trainers'. Cheers
  5. I think they were on last years extras CD (or was it the 2006 extras download?) Cheers
  6. Very nicely done. Only trouble is he sticks out like dog b.... because of his face - he needs a mask or camo paint Cheers
  7. Or you can just drag the action along the timeline until it starts at the point you want it to! Cheers
  8. You might need to provide a little more detail about what you actually mean. There are numerous options: 1. The Set. In AM this is the chor and you just drop in all the models you want to have in the background or around your model of interest. 2. The backdrop. Typically this is a pre rendered image decalled to piece of flat geometry (or multiple flat geometry) or just added as layers. 3. Combination of 1 and 2 Note that you can also render out movies in layers. Hope this helps Cheers
  9. Never dead end a spline unless you want it to cause a crease. If you need to end it then end it in a Hook and not a CP. Never have more than 2 splines crossing through the same CP. You can solve some of these problems by changing the direction of the spline - ie around the 'bridge' area. Cheers
  10. My advice. Stop now and reduce splines - you've got way too many CP's than you actually need (like 3 times the number) You will be unlikely to finish the model at this rate. (ie your cylinder head only needs 4 CP's per ring spline. In fact all your cylindrical parts only need 4 CPs per ring spline....) Cheers
  11. You are still dead ending splines. Just above the corner of the mouth you have 5 splines runing through a control point. In the top lip you have a curved spline running fromt he nose but 2 lip splines dead ending. Take a good close look at the make a face tute (11.5) in the AM Manual (The Art of Animation Master or TAoAM) to see how these spliens should run and form. Cheers
  12. Check out the games thread in the TWO forum for starters.
  13. They are very interested in getting an animation project involved in order to improve their application. Cheers
  14. 1. Add a bulb light to the chor 2. Constrain the light to the Characters hand and offset it so that it is where the beem will be when it's fired (in relation to the hand) 3. Animate the light on and off as the beem is 'fired' Cheers
  15. From a personal taste perspective I think the ear is too far back on the head. You might want to add some folds to the eyelids (upper and lower) but a shaded wireframe view would be advantageous to gauge how animatible the mesh will be. Cheers
  16. Everyone at Hash is on the forum at some point or another. Its rare to have any time when no-one from Hash is online in the forum. Cheers
  17. Hmmmmmm.... Must look more closely at this one (CelTx) Is it freeware? If it lives up to it's claims and its freeware then it might be better that dotProject! Cheers
  18. You also need to ensure you have continuous splines instead of one spline ending at the start of another. You have a coupld of obvious ones on the chest front near the arms. Cheers
  19. What is the actual problem? It's not playing back the music in real time mode or not appending the music to the rendered file? Sometimes sound can just stop working in AM which can be rectified by a close and restart. It may also be related to the codec used to compress the sound - ie it may be a wav file but it may be a wav file that AM can't open. If you double click on the sound icon in the Sound folder do you hear it play? Cheers
  20. TGA, JPG, BMP, DIB, PNG, HDR, PIC, PCX, EXR, AVI, MOV are all listed as valid image file formats. Cheers
  21. I'd suggest doing as the message says - log it into AM:Reports. There should be no reason you can't drag multiple actions into a chor and we do it all the time in TWO. Cheers
  22. And in your Chor action have you set the action to Add, blend or replace?
  23. I beleive it's been possible to do in all versions of AM. Layers are the key (or render with alpha channel for compositing). The Anzovins did a great tutorial on the subject. Good places to start looking for this information: http://www.lowrestv.com/arm/index.asp http://www.rafhashvideotapes.com/aminliaccd.html http://www.hash.com/users/ed/tutorials/fpm/fpm.htm Cheers
  24. Scary baby! Heres a quick render testing some face rigging (about 1/3rd the face is rigged) Cheers
