  1. You are on the right track! MORE! MORE!
  2. This is sooo cool! I love it! great job, Marcel!
  3. Just google for Irfanview or Xnview (I hope I spelled those right); They do much more than just converting Tgas to other formats
  4. In 'render to file settings', choose 'mini' resolution
  5. This is one very realistic horse! Great job, can't wait to see it textured!
  6. I am by no means alien expert, so I cannot comment on accuracy of the model... Looks pretty good to me, but as always, aliens work best in the dark, and they sould be more felt than seen... ;-) However, queen absolutely needs some bones and beauty pose to be appreciated in its gory loveliness...
  7. Great model, really looks like ol' Marlon from 'the Godfather'
  8. Jim donated both this data and the data for "Leopard Queen" (which in on the existing "Extras" CD). It would be great if somebody did an animation with these scenes! I absolutely second this idea! Jim's models have always been true inspiraton and source of amazing modeling ideas (simple, yet elegant and absolutely lovely) Also, his feeling of composition and form, have been a source of endless frustration (why I am not half that good)...
  9. Looks great so far! Keep us posted!
  10. This is one cool project! Can't wait to see it moving!
  11. I've justa managed to see this! Cool character! I agree with above said suggestions, and I find one more area for improvement: I wouldn't use 'aim at' constraint with the camera, but I would rather move it by hand. The way it is, I find camera movement too distracting... Cool start, I want to see more! Drvaceto
  12. I didn't think that eye movement topic could raise so much dust around those parts... ;-) Although there probably are other areas of improvement (for example I don't like much Rose's pose when she first enters the room - it feels much too exposed for quick sneak-in), I am feeling that all of the animation in the trailer is at least "good enough" in the sense that everything works and there is not a single moment that I would point my finger and say "this doesn't feel right" (I wish that I could say that for anything that I animated and that lasts more than 5 seconds) Only thing that I found distracting was above said eye movement ;-P Hovewer, I cannot emphasize enough how lovely renders look, subtilety and quality of lights... hair... you name it! Professonal looking animation that equals the effort of whole animation department in some company - made by one man! Drvarceto
  13. WOW! Displacement now really works! GREAT IMAGE! btw: Is this character going to appear in some movie?!?
  14. Make More! me too! I guess dartiong of the eyes could use one inbetween... Eyes move very fast, but when they take so much of the screen space, thaey should behave more to the people's expectations ;-P Drvarceto
  15. For a week of use, this is sucessful character! Very strange concept, but it has appeal... Once finished, your animation is bound to draw attention... Drvarceto
  16. Is there a chance that users of the older versions of A:M (11.1) might participate? This could be fun!
  17. COOL! now make im do the tricks! ;-D
  18. I can tell that this one is going to be great! Lovely work so far! Keep us posted!
  19. Looks cool. rig it, and show us how it moves;-D keep us posted!
  20. AMAZING WORK! come to think of it, some studios make 4 minutes movie and then they break their breastplate pounding about their talent pool od 40 - something animators and minuscule render farm of 100 computers... and you did it yourself... and it is only a trailer! WOW! Congratulations, this movie deserves some REAL publicity and fame! Drvarceto
  21. Nice start, but You'll have to model Dredd next! (btw: The movie was one of the rare comics adaptations that have remained faithfull to the comic. I loved it!)
  22. Its a bird... its a ... AMAZING Superman model! Congrats!
  23. so far, cool he looks... fast finish him you must, and certanly not only the bust... hey! this rhymes! (sorry) rhymes this nicely very... ... ... stop me! please!... this manner of speaking dangerous is!...
  24. WOW! Comments from some of the people that I respect the most around here! Thanks! I agree that specularity is bit too high, but I was going for sweaty/drunken/grumpy look, so it was kinda intentional, but I guess I went too far ; -D Reds prevail in the image beacuse of the fireplace light that I was trying to emulate... However, it seems that changing of light intensity over time (so to emulate fire burning) seems to be too much of distraction, so I'll have to rethink this... Thanks for your comments, please, keep them comming! Drvarceto
