  1. Hi Phattso, about the CD problem, please check this: In the end, yes, it is exactly what your computer guru says. As I understand it, there is a workaround for it, but I am not sure if it still works. Q1: For v13 and up: In general they open very well. If they will do exactly the same I can not say... I never really compared side by side. Q2: You will very likely get some notification, that the project was created in a newer version if you move the file and of cause if you added newer features to the file they can not be interpreted in v13, but it works in many cases. I still do not recommend to do this, because it just creates uncertain behaviour. Q3: I did not try with 4K but with 1440p and that works fine so I do not see why it should not work for 4k. As long as your GPU is powerful enough you should be fine. Q4: Short answer... no, not really. It just would be too much and I am pretty sure nobody knows all the features ;). A good startingpoint is however the latest info section: https://forums.hash.com/forum/2-latest-info/ Best regards *Fuchur*
  2. Just great... I had to laugh several times and the animation is very fun Well done! Can't wait to watch the next episode :). *Fuchur*
  3. I do not have much time right now, but just as a headsup for the pre- and post-interpolation stuff: You can do it for one axis only and stuff like that but you do not have to. Just click on the "Bones" folder and then select everything by pressing "CTRL + A". Now right-click on the selection and choose the pre- or post-interpolation you want to have there. In general I do not use it very often... in general I just repeat the action itself not in the action itself, but yes you can of cause do it. Best regards *Fuchur*
  4. Just great... everything about it... the dedication, the story of you and your girlfriend and the clip is fun too :). Well done my friend! Can't wait for the full episode. Best regards *Fuchur*
  5. A real pitty. He created really fun stuff and was a great guy from what I could tell. Rest in peace my friend. We will miss you – hopefully you are feeling better now whereever you are. *Fuchur*
  6. It will be OpenGL3 with that card but in general with modern GPUs (1050TI isnt that new, but should be fine) you are always going to run into CPU limits in A:M realtime in general. But it should be pretty high fps anyway. Best regards *Fuchur*
  7. I just bought 1m x 1.5m of cover foil in a local hardware store. Normally it is used to cover up garden huts and things like that I think. Pretty solid stuff. I just got a human 3d head from the internet and used it as a reference. Then I modelled it using the retopology tools in A:M. I printed that one out and just tried out how well it fitted (pretty good already) and just re-adjusted the model where it did not. Result is, that it fits pretty perfect now – since a face isn't solid but a little bit squishy everything is done by a little bit of pressure. (not too much of cause... just a tiny little bit is enough. The next one is going to be in white and a little bit less bulky, but in the end this prototype is already very good and does what he should :). Best regards *Fuchur*
  8. Thank you very much for the kind words Dan I recently used it a couple of times outside and it works pretty nicely. I even used it while going for a run and skating and even that works pretty nicely, but in those situations I am producing too much moisture and it will start to mist up the mouth shield and will even build up droplets of water in there after 15 - 30 minutes or something like that (which somehow says it works great for what it is build to do ;)), but other than that it works great. And yes, I am already working on a slimmer second version . It is pretty bulky as you can see on the last images in the blog article. Best regards *Fuchur*
  9. Hi everybody, since we are more or less all wearing some kind of mask or faceshield nowadays, it sometimes is a little bit harder to see the expressions on peoples faces who are wearing masks. On the other hand faceshields are little bit less effective concerning filtering moisture out of the air. So recently I thought of a little concept to combine those two tools together with the help of Animation:Master and my Makerbot Replicator 2. Hope you like it :). More can be seen on my blog article here: https://www.patchwork3d.de/blog-5-en/mask-with-integrated-face-shield-or-how-to-show-mouth-expression-despite-corona-and-the-obligation-t-1080 Best regards *Fuchur*
  10. Or just go to the properties of the chor and choose "File Info > Embedded" for the one file if you do not want to embed everything. After that, just reimport the chor a second time, embedded it too and rename it to whatever you want. That works with everything which can be imported like Materials, Models, Actions, Chors and so on. Best regards *Fuchur*

    Decals

That does not sound good... did you try to remove it and put it freshly on? Which vendor do you have there? Is it Nvidia, AMD or just Intel? There are differen removing tools to fully get rid of AMD or Nvidia drivers and should be used in some situations. (especially if you replace a Nvidia or AMD card with a card from the oposite one, but sometimes it is a good idea anyway) It might be just a problem with your Direct3d/DirectX installation, but that is often resolved by such things too. You did install the additional libraries you do not have currently when installing A:M v19, right? Those are only optional in case you already have installed them but they are needed to run the program. Best regards *Fuchur*
  12. Hm, interesting... do you know any software that can handle it? Best regards *Fuchur*
  13. Interesting... did not know about that or that VR was a thing back then... this is a workflow using directX (a improved exporter by Steffen in the newest version currently in beta) and using ultimate unwrap 3d (best software there is to get from directX file to collada or fbx (and a couple of other formats). It is pretty straight forward but a little bit of figuring out the character setup in unity for VRChat was involved. I might do a tutorial on all of that, but it will take a little till I find the time to do that. Best regards *Fuchur*
  14. Hi guys, I am currently spending (too much) time in VRChat (a software that is more like a multiplayer-game but meant to be used as a socialising platform to talk with other people and do stuff in a virtual world together with or without a VR headset). VRChat gives the possibility to upload own characters and worlds to the experience and so I had a look how that is done and brought my Animation:Master Plomper-Character as a fully functional avatar to that world. I might do a full blown video tutorial on it in future, but for now I just wrote a new blog article on the process. If you are interested, you can find it here: PW3d: VRChat – What is VRChat and how did I import my plumper model as a character? Hope you find it interesting and fun :). Best regards *Fuchur* PS: If you are wondering: That is a mirror infront of me in one of the worlds in which I am using my Mixed Reality Headset:
  15. That is a little optimistic if you ask me, but the AMD line-up is absolutly impressive :). I have a 5700XT paired with a Ryzen 1700 (overclocked) at home and a 3700X at work (have built about 10 computers at work using 3600 or 3700x recently) and they really are just great. And just recently got a new HP Probook 445 G7 (with a Ryzen 5 4500u). I am pretty impressed with all of them ;). The new APUs seem to be close to the older desktop parts in performance but with a GPU... it is not the best GPU for gamers in there (would not consider buying it for that) but for people who just need a little bit of GPU in it without the need of gaming that should be nice enough and still faster then the iGPUs of intels. Best regards *Fuchur*
  16. Actually I am for instance most of the time online... but it was never crowded and since you have to be online the same time, it is often a little hard to find somebody there... (I am from Europe, which means we are in a pretty different time zone.)
  17. I am very happy that you like it :). Best regards *Fuchur*
  18. Here you go – how to use sweeper in a nutshell (not my mother tongue, just in case somebody is wondering): how_to_use_sweeper.mp4
  19. Never forget about "Sweeeeeper" ;). Best regards *Fuchur*
  20. Hi Soot, nice to meet you :). Have fun and if you have any questions or something to share, let us know ;). Best regards *Fuchur*
  21. The second question is something VERY different and pretty complex to talk about. There are a lot of different techniques in there for instance many different kinds of constraints, expressions, poses, etc. I am pretty sure that can not easily be packed into one live session but needs to be covered in several. You might want to open another thread for that if you really want to go indepth on that one... Best regards *Fuchur*
  22. A hint in the right direction but I am sure Robert will talk about it in the Live-Session: Gradient-Material (Transparent to Color) with a animated transform setting of the gradient.
  23. Just have a look into my signature... the pipeline for Unity (using FBX) will for for UE as well as far as I know.
  24. Of cause... render to a tga or png or exr sequence. You might see blue or something in the background for preview reasons, but there should be an alpha channel in them which should help or if rendering to png just being transparent. Best regards *Fuchur*
