Sure, that is nice, but you wont have anny collision detection at all, or? It think the new 2005-cloth would be the better solution... *Fuchur*

First model nearly complete, need some tips
Fuchur replied to pixelmech's topic in Work In Progress / Sweatbox
Hi, The creases at the feet result of too tight spline-circles... I think it is already on the go to become bigger again. Try to scale the circle to a vaule, where the points are tight together, but on the ride "side"... Just scale them a bit larger and you will see what is wrong. (sorry, cant explain it in a better way...) *Fuchur* -
Okay... my suggestions: If you make the hair by a emitter or by splines is just a question of your style. The body itself could be modelled by a spline, which will be rotated (lathe) round an achses. Just try it out and you will see, what is happening... That is quite easy and effective. You should set the amount of CPs a CP-circle will have, as you want to... u did it before when you did the eye.... (set it under options) In my opinion, the beard shouldnt be connected to the head as you did.... You can make a hair-emitter for it, or you just make a cone and just move it near the chin. *Fuchur*

Search in your Installation on the PC where it worked for the plugin and just copy it to the other pc in the same directory... Maybe that will help...

*smile* Nice girlfriend... try to keep her... I meant exactly what john thought. Wasnt very serious though... *g* That you get some strange results with porcelain could be the result of flipped normals... go to "option" and go to the "modelling"-tab, turn the "normals on" and look, if they all point in one direction (to the outside)... if that isnt so, you can use the patch-select-tool (it is at the right under the addCP-button) and then press the "f"-button or right-click on the selection and chose "flip normals". That should turn them. After that, you have to delet the porcelain-material and then reimport it or restart A:M.... I dont know why, but that is the way it has to be done... Hope that helps *Fuchur*

Ohoh.... big mistake boy... turn around and get rid of the model... Not that it isnt quite nice, but if it wont be very very nice and a bit complementary. This is verrry dangerous... *gg* *Fuchur*

I would make numbers... I have a longer project in progress and I used to use letters etc.... At the end I was at something like: "Projectzzzzzzzzs" or something... use numbers and the problem of confusion will fade away... (there are invinity numbers but just 26 letters...) *Fuchur*

Nice! So it worked out... For all who thought divx was just for PCs... here you can get the Mac-Version: DIVX for Mac *Fuchur*
-
I used Divx 5.02 with Mp3-Audio-Decoder... You should be able to see the movie in your WMP but if not, you can use the ThePlayer (the divx-player which is installed with divx) and it should work... *Fuchur*

I had that problem before with some guys... you can avoid that by copy/paste the link in the adress-line. I don't know why it doesnt work with one click for some and for some it does... maybe a different browser or something... copy this to your adress-line: http://mitglied.lycos.de/fuchur1984/robots.zip I hope that helps... *Fuchur*

It's time then! *Fuchur* PS: - LINK - Länge = length Auflösung = resolution Größe = filesize (if you like to vote: Note 1-6 = grad 1-6 PPSS: When you are on the page, please download the zip-file by right-clicking on the link and push "save as". PPPSSS: If you are just interested in characteranimtion, this has no CA in it. It's just a little short...

I dont know exactly, but you have to prepare the spline for extruding it... So you need (in my opinion) several separate parts... for example the windows should be each one part... so it is possible to turn them down later, etc. You can do it now or later... but I would start as early as possible with it... *Fuchur*

The hook is made by making a spline, than dont leftclick on the next spline you like to devide but right+left-click at it... *Fuchur*
