  1. Looking great mike. Can't wait to see more ebon. It's awesome!
  2. You need the obj plugin. Bryce can load obj's so export obj from hash. If you have version 14 it is included. If not download it from the hash ftp site.
  3. all i got to say is HOT DIGGITY DAMN! that's sweet.
  4. wow wow wow. That is beautiful. I would like to know the patch count too. very inspiring.
  5. Wow, he is looking real cool. Can't wait to see him textured.
  6. I love TAR. I know you will make something great.
  7. Nice start. That horse looks like he should be much bigger though.
  8. Here he is without the shimmer. Now I have to think of a funny animation for him. Yves gave me tips for getting rid of the shimmer. I made the hair thicker and used multipass. bird2.mov
  9. I like this a lot. I really like the style. I can picture a cool stylized character on it.
  10. I put a simple rig in him. Here is a quick little animation. Does anyone know how to get rid of the shimmering in the hair? bird1.mov
  11. I might rig him up and do a little something with him. I won't be using ao for an animation render with hair though. I turned down the ambient value on this last render anyway so it didn't make as much difference as a 2 and a half hour render should take anyway. I'd like to do a little more refinement to the hair too. Someone suggested I give him arms. That might be funny. I'm thinking about it. I have a hard time rigging without tsm these days. I need to learn to use and modify the squetch rig.
  12. fuzzy wuzzy! I dont know what the lump on his head is, just his shape.
  13. Update. I pointed up the beak a little like tanman said. I think it looks better. I darkened the ground. I think it might look better if I just make it grey though. I'll try out different colors. Now I'll try to get the hair fuzzy. Be back with updates later.
  14. yeah i would like it to be a little more fuzzy. Any tips anyone?
  15. Yeah tanman, my bird is a freak of nature. I like him like that though. That was intentional misleading on my part dhar lol. I'm glad someone thought that.
  16. Messing around with hair and ao today, this is what I have so far. I'll try to make it better.
  17. Wow! That is a great model. And so quick. Congratulations.
  18. That's a really nice head and skin. Your edges are a little rough. Maybe a multipass render will help?
  19. I put sss on my female model. Now I want to try to make her real hair.
  20. Here is my female figure painted. She is from obj.
  21. Attached is a movie of 5 intersecting splines. Also another model imported obj. This one has too many patches to really do anything with. The lower poly model before subdividing didnt import well. Probably if I spent more time modeling as a low poly model it would import better. But the tutorial was for a subdivided model. I need tutorials for low poly models. dino5oint.mov
  22. I got rid of that spot. It was a stray cp not assigned to the right bone. I improved the lighting too. See attached. dinoam.mov
  23. This work is looking great. Seeing your old model it really is like night and day. You improved so much. Your characters are looking successful. The only thing is with the arms, maybe look too obviously lathed and symmetrical. Maybe a little more shaping to them. Unless it's just a stylized choice. Looking great. Keep it up.
