Ugh, I was kinda sick yesterday and slept most of the day so i wont have the animation done by fathers day. I'll work on the model and make him a card with it though. I'll still make the animation but not for fathers day i guess. So there are no comments? Does it look bad? It's ok to be honest. Let me know.

OK, we'll make it the 25th. I will send out an email so everyone knows. I guess we'll have it at my place. Nobody said any preference where they wanted it and I'm happy to host it. Yeah, I'm in Holbrook. I'll send out the address via e-mail. I guess we'll start around noon or so?

Hi I am working on something for fathers Day. I want to make an animation of my dad playing conga drums and singing babaloo if I can finish it in time. My friend jin kazama is making the conga drums. I started the head today. I was just gonna make a simple round head and put glasses and hair on it but my friend jin kazama encouraged me to push it more and I'm glad he did, I am happy with how it's coming. I should be busy learning a software package right now but I wanted to do this. Attached is the head. I will update later.

If the city guys would like a shorter trip I'm fine meeting at your place. I am happy to host it at my place otherwise. Either way I will pick up the groceries for it. Hey guys I was waiting to hear back from JP but he hasn't e-mailed me back. He can't make the 24th and I was seeing if he can make the 25th instead. Well, if I don't hear from him we can go ahead and have the 24th because I got replies that is a good date for people. I want everyone included though.

How is either saturday, june 17 or saturday, june 24 for people? We can start in the afternoon and go as long as you like. Maybe we can rent a cool 3d animation too. I have some on dvd too, a bunch of really old shorts too which are fun to watch. They look kinda dated now.

I forgot you are vegetarian. Do you like garden burgers? I can pick up some of those.

Hi Would any of you new yorkers like to hold the meeting at my house on long island this month? I am about an hour and 15 minutes from penn station. I can pick up people at the train station. We can have a barbeque and we can have some beer if anyone wants to. We can try to think of some fun summer things to do or something. People can stay as late as they want. Does anyone have interest in this or should we have it in brooklyn? Just an idea.

I welcome any models that would fit in with a wild west theme. I am already using a couple of models from the hash community. If they have high patch counts I can reduce them. I got my frog from about 3000 polys to 1500 polys and kept him looking like I wanted. Anyone who wants to contribute models will have their name in the credits and get a free copy of the game. If I make a lot of money with it by some weird chance I will pay a little something to the contributers for helping. But I am not expecting to make much. I am not charging much for the game, I just want to get something back if I can, I invest a lot of time and money in this. I may be able to create a tongue weapon. I would have a tongue where the gun would usually be then it shoots out. It would be pretty easy to make and animate. I don't know how easy it would be to make it hit and cause damage though. That may require special scripting. I think there is a hand to hand combat script for the engine, I have to check, that might be able to be utilised for this. Unless I make a reaaaallly long tongue and have it hit like a bullet. I am glad people have interest in my game That makes me feel good and helps me carry on. Waheed, I will get a list to you today. I know you've been waiting. I've just been obsessed with this town square level.

I wasn't familiar with the quake logo, I looked it up, now I see it. It is really funny. I didn't even think of making a cool catchy logo. You have inspired me. That is pretty sweet for something you just whipped up for fun. You have a lot of talent.

Well, I will have this townsquare between each indoor level. Maybe I can use different skies and lighting effects between each one then have the final shoot out at night time. That might be cool. Thanks Greg

Thanks Gerry. That is just the default sky when you run test game. You cant change it in the test, only in the final build. I am using a more blue, brighter sky for the final. Most of the levels will be indoors though so you wont see the sky too much.

I'm starting to populate the scene with a:m stuff. You may notice the hash cartoon horse in there.

Really nice job dan. Looks like you are picking up modeling pretty quick. That chess set looks like it would be fun to try some materials with.

Viper, the game is done in a game engine. Models are made in a:m. There will be many a:m models in the level when it's done. The building are blocks so right now just the frog is a:m

These are great characters. It inspires me to work on making more creative character design.
