  1. To add your current colour to the custom colour palette hit Ctrl/C and then use the cursor keys (arrow keys) to navigate to the box that you want to fill with the current colour and press Return/Enter. The custom colour palette is automatically embedded with the model file when you save the model and so is still accessible when you next open the model.
  2. You might consider running another spline around her mouth but that depends on how you visualise her mouth moving. You'll know if it's neccesary once you start animating her.
  3. She's cute, Gerry. Good luck with the short.
  4. Thanks, Luuk! Yeah, quite a coincidence! Your Flying Dutchman RC is absolutely brilliant by the way! Thanks, Mark! I see that the Sea Anemone has just launched too. I have discovered a more reliable image of the great cabin windows so I'm going to remodel them based on that drawing and on some old ship plans for ships of a similar design and era. This is about where the model stands at the moment: BarkTest_A02a.mov The Spleen's new thread got me sparked up to do another character. Still in the modelling, rigging and weighting stage. The current poses are just to help me as I weight the CPs but I will give him a good range of orator's expressions eventually. Barack_A02d.mov
  5. The detail is staggering! I love the way that AO handles the shadowy areas between the buildings. Are you even thinking about texturing this, Stian?
  6. Note: You cannot extrude an isolated CP. Only a spline with two or more CPs can be extruded.
  7. Any of the above. There is also an "extract" tool which cuts out the shapes that are outlined and filled.
  8. It's all down to your style and how you personally interpret his character but I think you could raise his eyes slightly, make his forehead narrower and give him a very broad mouth. His smile is his most prominent feature I think. Here is a quick start on my Barack's head: Barack_A00b.mov Needs more work and more exaggeration.
  9. I thought that you might like to see this, Gene: Saloon
  10. This is looking better and better, Mark! I really look forward to these regular updates. The Sea Anemone looks grand. God bless 'er an' all 'oo sail in 'er! Arrrghhh...
  11. I don't know the fate of Ebon but...check out Mike's current project: The Ottoman If you look at the team credits you may notice quite a few old A:M users in there.
  12. Congratulations on finding a distributer and of course for all the awards that Chicory is picking up along the way! I am now intrigued by your next project. Do you have something in mind already?
  13. Haven't been able to do much lately but here is something that I have just started: Bark_Test_A00b.mov (Loop in slow-mo if possible) This is pretty much a proxy model at the moment at 1134 patches and no textures. That figure will go up significantly when I start adding all the ship's rigging. Currently there is no interaction between the boat and the water but I intend to do that by hand.
  14. HerrianneHead_B00d_toon_.mov I tried a Toon render today and the top of the frame doesn't render correctly. Anyone have any thoughts on what causes this?
  15. The model and the SSS look great, Steve! Render time would be the killer for me though. I'm too impatient.
  16. Arrgh! This all looks mighty fine and ship shape, me 'arty!
