Philip, Nice job! Did you make the textures on the fish? Very impressive! Any plans to animate?
-
Neat! Reminds me of having fun with gliders as a kid. I may have to try this out!
-
Matt, Quite a task you have ahead of you! Thanks for letting us in on this. Have you recorded any voice talent yet?

It's always good to see your work josema. Thanks, you're an inspiration!

I just want to add to the list of those in your fan club. Beautiful job KNBits!

This is really SWEET Luis. I'm definitely interested in watching this develop. Super splinage!

Thanks for letting us in on this Colin. Just a reminder on these turnarounds: If you really want to see the 3d effect pop out, turn on loop, play it at double speed, and put a dark lense (one sun glass lense) over your right eye (the eye that the front rotation is moving toward). Old trick, and works beautifully with TV football games too. Dan (you can call me dan) RJ

Beautiful proportions Hutch. I really like the thick/thin and length ratios. I do think you will be able to pull off (make them work well) the pointy fingers and toes, but the connections need some tweeking, too cylindrical. You might also consider differentiating between left and right feet. The length of toes will help to shape that. Consider moving the thumb back a bit. You've got an elegant form for the front shell, very pleasing. Are you going to open up the space between the two shells where the legs and arms attach? You might need to, for fuller articulation. At least that's the way I see it. Dan (you can call me Dan) RJ

Beautiful work Andy. Any post production on this? Here's one small adjustment you might try. Raise the right flower about 50 pixels above the second from the right flower. : ) DanRJ

A little mechanical modeling...
nimblepix replied to dhartman's topic in Work In Progress / Sweatbox
Dan, This is super! Have you done this kind of thing before? What's your background? -
Colin, I didn't see much input on the model so I'll throw in a couple well intentioned tweeks. Here are a couple things to consider: Is the top of the leg muscle to far behind the hip bone? The side rib cage may need some definition. Doesn't seem adequate yet. Distance between the top of his rib cage and chest muscles seems a bit much. How about building up his inside calf muscles more. They seem a bit small for a guy like this. I love the direction the costume is going. Darker blue curve under his armpit changes visual direction unnecessarily, and I'm wondering how it transitions into the design on the back. Can we take a look at his back? There are a few things to consider there. I'm oughta here. My pillow is calling. Dan (you can call me Dan) RJ

My First Major Animated Sequence
nimblepix replied to TurboGorilla's topic in Work In Progress / Sweatbox
Turbo, Welcome, and thanks for posting this. Feedback: Titles too slow. Needs a perspective type intro like the Star Wars series. If your editing software can't do it, do it in A:M with a decal on a moving flat surface. Get to know your A:M's particle system. It will help you get some engine flashes when your vehicle changes speed. If you want your vehicle to move more smoothly through a series of arcs, don't do it with keyframes, put it on a path. Go man go! DanRJ -
Ah, a Gaston to know and love. Any script ideas for him yet?

Xtaz, And to think I almost missed this thread. You are doing some amazing work here Xtaz! Thanks for letting us in on the process. It's inspiring to say the least! DanRJ

Looks like a bad dream McKnuckles is having. He's running from his chief! Seriously folks, really neat springy action to the multicolored strands. Nice to see you just playing around Mike. Or are you?

Cute model Hutch. Acting is good too! Loved the little asymetrical lip movement and the little sneer at the end. I think his eyes open up a bit too much in the beginning. cheers, DanRJ

Logo animation with theme
nimblepix replied to D.Joseph Design's topic in Work In Progress / Sweatbox
Beautiful Daniel! I'm not too sure what the yellow upside down check mark is all about. Lense flare seems a bit low, right in the center of vertical, which in this case, is also the horizon. Two more possible tweaks: A softer ease out. There is a little jar at the end when the logo settles in. Don't freeze the frame and hold it, continue the movement of the light causing the flare even if the logo has stopped. Dane's music is great for a particular audience. I just don't know if that's the audience that this is intended for. It certainly does denote quality, caring, and gentleness. That's you, right? : ) DanRJ -
short animation of someone sneaking....
nimblepix replied to Ernesto Esteso's topic in Work In Progress / Sweatbox
WOW!!! That's some amazing crazy good animation Ernesto! -
Good luck Rowan!

This is much more powerful! I like the electrical look on the right. Even though it is more difficult to read (as you say), animated lightning reflections would be very cool. Show the power! Or at least as much as we can stand and survive. : )

Thanks for being so generous Ed. Can't wait to play with this guy and learn from him!

Beautiful sculpt James! Huge potential in this character for some shorts! Neato!

Court Case Re-inactment Animation WIP =^.^=
nimblepix replied to nyahkitty's topic in Work In Progress / Sweatbox
John, Nice job! Man, this looks like serious business! I hope you will be able to show us the final piece. Three questions: Will you be adding natural perspective or will you keep it orthographic like this? How many seconds do project for this scene? Do you actually have to do layered action animation? Yes, the chain link looks great! DanRJ -
Daniel, I sure do agree with you about the earth being overused in logo work, but, I think with this client it's appropriate. Will you be animating this? DanRJ
