  1. Funny! What a neat concept. Two girls on the town and out for blood!
  2. Nixie, Wow, great progress. A beautiful little guy. I'm coming into this a bit late but since this is a WIP, I'll add a couple suggestions for tweaks. Thicker eyelids. Less childlike hands. Perhaps larger knuckles and finger pads. Make the two middle toes less alike. The one next to the big toe bigger. Yeh, a pot belly would be nice. More variation on widths on body parts. I can't help but think how nuts my dog would go, if he saw this guy in our house.
  3. Have Shaggy leaning against the right bottom ball. Edit: Er, I mean to the right of the front ball.
  4. For some reason they seem Italian. And, of course they're brothers.
  5. I know what you mean Martin. It's a game of finding the elegant, refined solution. Really satisfying!
  6. OK, next I'd like to see some thrown pottery with painted glaze, or some rakoo (sp?). And, some turned bowls made from wood with popcorn in them! Go man, go!
  7. Fadhli, This is a great start. Are you going for super realistic or half way between cartoony and real? If you're going for realistic, how about posting some detail shots for more accurate critiques. It's difficult to see the mechanical parts. A bump map for the tires could be in order. Dan
  8. Nice job Robert, thank you.
  9. Thanks Scott. This will be fun to play with.
  10. Beautiful! How about animating it.
  11. Very very cool. Thanks for making it a good size for a background image!
  12. WOW! Nice job. Great moody short. The rendering style matches the motion very well . . . sort of like an early game cut scene. Sound seems a bit off sync, but that may be my media player's problem. Looking forward to seeing more of your work.
  13. Wonderfully cute, delightful family fun! Thanks for this!
  14. Hey Zach, this is going to be fun! You may want to tilt your virtual camera a bit clockwise, since your real camera was tilted a bit counter clockwise.
  15. Eric, Did you notice that yours needs to spin counter clockwise to go forward?
  16. Excellent character Matt! Looking forward to the animation.
  17. Povilas, I love that you have created a mechanical and an organic model that occupy the same stylistic universe. Very well realized! Thanks for these. They are inspiring!
  18. Ernesto, I really admire these two animations! Beautiful! Wonderful! Inspiring! I do think you should not move the camera on the jump clip though. It makes his feet look like they are sliding. I want to animate like you some day!
  19. Well Victor, if mind share is any indication, you've succeeded. I watched the movie last night several times and when I woke up this morning it was the first thing I was thinking about. There is so much that is good in this piece! I especially love the changes in attitude/emotion. The little grin at the end is saying to me, "Wow, I didn't expect that, but it was so cool!" I like the hands on the planet just as they are. Lifting the fingers up shows more joy and confidence. The concept is so wonderful! I love the idea of these objects held magnetically/gravitationally/magically in place. Reminds me of those educational toys with a ball suspended between two magnets and the cool planetary animations in the "Third Rock from the Sun." Can you trace your inspiration for the concept? I can't sign off without one tweek suggestion . . . I would like to see the rings loose in the beginning as he's rocking. Perhaps you could just add a simple lag or spring action to those frames. They may take a little attention away from the main action, but as I see it now, logically they need to move. Thanks for letting us in on this! DanRJ
  20. Stian, Beautiful! Amazing work, period! Was this just an exercise for you, a hobby project?
  21. Gilles, Super! Looking forward to seeing him in action. If he's Dutch, you might want to add some wood grain to those shoes!
  22. Nima, Can you post this in .mov format, perhaps sorenson compression? Thanks
  23. Nice job David. Yep, legs and feet need some work. I'm looking forward to some fun expressions/acting with those beautiful faces!
  24. Check your normal direction inside the mouth. Did you add an inside, or is this just a hole?
  25. Hey Hutch, Very nice. I love the deliberate pace! Super toe snap behind, although a touch late. Wonderful foot placement. There is a little glitch in the knee just after he puts his left foot down in front. I'd like to see this as a true loop, seems to be a couple frames off. Now to add some hip movement, around the y axis, a little twist on the shell (unless it's going to stay stiff) and some head bob. Might loosen up the wrist a bit too. I really like this guy! DanRJ
