  1. The flipper copies the main bones but not the fans Here's a quick example video showing how to mirror a fan bone with the MirrorBones plugin. Hope that helps, Jason. mirror_bone_example_vid.mov
  2. If you're using TSM2, use the "Flipper" to copy the bones.
  3. I don't know what will or won't get you disqualified, but, making an entry work-in-progress used to be a no-no so that voting couldn't be based on who made the character...wouldn't want to lose to someone based on their reputation instead of their work. That being said, he looks great so far. Good luck in the competition, Josh!
  4. Export the Action as a model. Hope that helps.
  5. These are all great, Myron!
  6. Here is the beginning of a beveling tutorial that Yves made. Hope that helps.
  7. He could always come up with a lesser quality substitute...something small and angry/unpredictable on his shoulder would be great. "Nobody else has a mouth-foaming spider monkey...it could be my trademark."
  8. Looks great, so far, Paul!
  9. The only recommendation I have is to bevel everything.
  10. You're doing great work, Mark!
  11. Extremely nice work, Al! Better and better.
  12. It's been a while since I posted an update on what progress I'm making, so I figured I should mention what I'm doing. I've been working on updating the tail for the Quad, which would also be used for the biped...which I'm hoping to use for some other things as well, if everything goes right. I started with several possible directions that are starting to combine into a multiple control setup. It still has a lot of evolving to do before it gets to the point where I can get opinions, but I'm starting to get some things that I think could be useful. I'm going through an extreme lack of free time lately, so it's not moving as fast as I'd like, but I'm still trudging forward a little at a time.
  13. You will probably want to do some beveling, so, here's some primitive construction stuff: A beveled cube, which is part of this tutorial. If you haven't already read Jeff Cantin's "Basic Splinemanship" tutorials, they are here. Hope that helps.
  14. Great job, Eric!
  15. ok thank you how do i go about showing a rigged model?\ and also is there a link to the new skeletal model? You can just Zip the model and add it as an attachment to a forum post. If you don't want to release your actual model, you can delete the geometry of the model, save it as another model and post that (which would be the rig without the geometry). The 2008 Rig is here. TSM2 is here. The LiteRig is here.
  16. With v13, that would be the 2001 Rig. You could use that if you want, but TSM2 or the 2008 Rig would be better. Making your own is an option, but it will take you a lot longer than installing a pre-built rig. "Screwed up" isn't specific enough to give you an answer about what went wrong...posting the rigged model for others to look at would be the easiest way to get a solution.
  17. Here is a thread with some info...my preference is Camstudio and a few other tools that I list in this post. Here is another thread. Hope that helps.
  18. Happy Birthday, Caroline!
  19. I always think of "Dead Man's Party" by Oingo Boingo around Halloween.
  20. He looks great, Steve!
  21. The Orangutan disc can actually run v11, so you could try the latest version of that. Here are the links: v11 for OS9 v11 for OSX v11 for Windows v11.1 for Windows (I'm not sure, but this might also run with the Orangutan CD) If the OS9 or OSX versions don't work, you could try the Windows version using Bootcamp or Virtualbox. Hope that helps.
  22. Very cool, Myron!
  23. Congrats, Dusan!
  24. I love when I get feedback, but I never count on it...constructive feedback is very rare. A lot of people may just not know what to critique and want to avoid a "me too" post. You do absolutely incredible work, Mark. It would be a tremendous loss to the community if you stopped posting.
  25. He looks great, Ken!
