  1. Go Stumblebum! May you live long... and animate!
  2. Thats a tough offer to turn down David. We should talk. Extra DVD content would have to be coordinated individually with the creators but having a dedicated repository would be nice.
  3. Frendon (are you related to Fraiser BTW?) I've downloaded all your buildings and will start plugging them into the DVD setup right away. Thanks! This really helps push us toward that Cityscape we've been hoping to collect. You can't just post cool stuff like this without explanation though. Were you building these for your own pleasure or did you have some larger project under way? Inquiring minds wanna know! Rodney
  4. Confirmed with Frendon... these will be making their way toward the Extra CD! Thanks Frendon!
  5. Check Steve Sappington's reply in your other post.
  6. Very nice. I like! Have you animated these guys yet. Like the guns popping out?
  7. Doing great things Gaz. Very impressive combination of character animation, backgrounds, special FX, sound... the works! There are a few moments that my mind wonders what is going on but that may be explained better in context with the entire story. I'm not suggesting you change these necessarily but pinpointing where those moments are. It could be that a quicker cut away or an inserted image or two in those locations might improve the flow. Not necessarily new footage but current imagery cropped or otherwise manipulated. Camera movement to Peg's house and to the window The camera movement seems to suggest the viewer (or a character?) is driving up to Peg's house. This doesn't seem to be the case as the camera then elevates and flies and eventually enters the Tower window. It has a first person player game feel to it. If the storyline calls for some creature to in fact drive up to Peg's place and fly up to the window that would work perfectly. Peg recognizes the UFO I'm curious. Does Peg know that this is Bella Bear and Hannah Banna? Are they in trouble and her alarm is a recognition of that? At first look it seems like she is reacting to an invasion. If she does recognize them I'd recommend the telescope spotlight a closeup of Bella and Hanna with distressed looks on their faces. Peg kicks in the Door Its not clear to me why she kicks down the door. Is she looking for something? I'm not sure so won't comment more on that. I love where you are going with this... take any commentary for what its worth and press on! I really want to find out what happens next!

    I O U ?

I think I've got almost all your images collected Roger. I didn't forget you! I don't suppose you'd believe all this waiting for a certificate is a secret plan to get you used to waiting for your render would you?

    I O U ?

I've started to collect all of your exercise images and hope to post the gallery pages before heading off to Hash Bash. That way you'll at least be able to review your work and correct me if I get anything wrong. Certificates to follow shortly thereafter.
  11. I pushed a bit too far at the very end and really messed up the pigeons wings. If I can put it back together I'll post. I was going to... really. Okay... here is a screen cap taken with the wings all messed up. The beak of the pigeon was open too and the terrordactyl looks like he's not lined up quite right. Save often even when just having fun is gonna be my new motto. Added: The size of the terrordactyl would be a bit confusing in a still like this but in an animation it would be pretty clear how small he was when the pigeon ate him.
  12. Encouraging YOU! Heck... you just got me to put together a knight riding a blue pigeon chasing a tiny terrordactyl!!! Why? Just because I could!!! I fear what you've been giving us is fatal. There ain't no cure. ...and perhaps strangest of all is that I'm thanking you for it. Crazy crazy fun.
  13. too funny John... you are a nut. (hee hee) Check out Alain's pigeon flying/walking actions on the CD too. If you drop this library file into the Library folder of the Extra CD (not on the CD... that's read only but on the harddrive) it should work. 2005ExtraActions.zip
  14. Agreed. If users accidentally discover the power of alpha channels that a good thing.
  15. Your post demonstrates why the FAQ forum is read only... yours is a series of questions not a FAQ. There are those with a lot more knowledge than me that can steer you in the right direction concerning CG and live action... there is even a forum area for it! CG in Live Action Forum As I like to say, 'It's forum 56 on your A:M dial'. (Gonna have to make that dial one of these days) You'll find several links to tutorials that will help immensely there. You can definitely film your live footage in ways that make compositing more easy. There is a lot to consider though. For instance: Will you be using Green Screen/Blue Screen or other things to make masking unwanted areas out of the film? Paul Daley has a tutorial/demo on one of the early SIGGRAPH video tapes that I really enjoyed. His 'Sack Attack' is a really great demonstration of the CG in Live Action technique. I highly recomment it. Now lets see what the experts say... (Strange how posts appear long after submitted sometimes. That Mike is fast!)
  16. Very cool. Definitely keep us posted.
  17. Maybe default OFF for everyting but TGAs and EXRs or is that the problem and they are that already? (seriously wondering but not able to confirm at present)

    I O U ?

Hey... that's quite a profile image you've got there Mark. Very nice!
  19. Sorry if it seems negativity is the rule of the day. It may be that I am hardened by the number of projects that appear from time to time here in the forum. Many never leave the dream stage. Wishing and wanting and having a need aren't enough to make a movie. (At least you know what you want) I want you to be successful and I'll lend my fair share of enthusiasm your way. Enthusiasm however will never replace a good solid plan. TWO is working for a lot of reasons; most of which you haven't demonstrated yet. For instance, Hash Inc has invested its considerable resources in TWO and Martin has put a lot of his personal money on the line. He also *knows* the majority of people that are working on TWO personally. The A:M Community doesn't know you quite so well... at least not yet. I'm impressed that you at least have a name Chris. That speaks volumes to me. The first sign of going nowhere fast can be found in a post from someone without a real name. At least you have one. So here is I guess what you could call the bottom line. Its hard to invest in a dream without something to attach that dream to. If you can demonstrate to A:M Users that your dream also has a solid plan... Then you'll be more likely to see volunteers walk through your door. I suspect that percieved lack of immediate interest here in the forum is but a small problem compared to those you'll run into creating a feature length movie. I hear its not as easy as it sounds. Like I said before... it may be a stretch but I think going into preproduction now (with or without modelers and riggers) would be a really good thing to do. If TWO has fallen short in any one area I'd say it might be in preproduction design; we needed lots and lots more of it. There is a lot that can be done without modelers and riggers and the preparation taken now will make it a lot easier for them. Then in two years time you'll have some seasoned animators looking for post-TWO projects. If it takes less than two years to finish all design and story work you'll be ahead of the game. Hang in there! A good dream never dies. Rodney
  20. A:M Reports has a separate login/registration. You can however use the same info that you do for the forum if that works for you.
  21. There is no turning off per se. You'll want to open up your channel editor (or timeline if you prefer) from there you'll be able to select your channels for feet animation and change the bias interpolation to linear, hold, zero slope or whatever you prefer for your animation. For simple animation you may find that just peaking those channels works fine.
  22. (What the TimeLord said) Here is the official (basic) information from the online Technical Reference for those following along:
