ludo_si Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 Hello, it's my new work. there is textures, rigging to do. it's a start. there must be a weapon to stage. Quote
Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted August 8, 2013 Hash Fellow Posted August 8, 2013 Those leg warmers went out in the 80's. Looks good! Quote
ludo_si Posted August 8, 2013 Author Posted August 8, 2013 I planned to sculpt a face by bump in leather straps. It is true that 's a little 80 lol Quote
Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted August 8, 2013 Hash Fellow Posted August 8, 2013 Do you have a project in mind for him? Quote
ludo_si Posted August 9, 2013 Author Posted August 9, 2013 yes, I have a project. animation with other objects and characters. Quote
Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted August 9, 2013 Hash Fellow Posted August 9, 2013 Wow, that face thing is very creepy! Quote
ludo_si Posted August 9, 2013 Author Posted August 9, 2013 I all texture head per head. Then the leather armature. I expected more than ten heads by legs. Not easy but amusing. Quote
Admin Rodney Posted August 9, 2013 Admin Posted August 9, 2013 Very nice! At first I thought we were looking at a real world sculpture/maquette! It's interesting that for the mascot contest I started... but abandoned... a character with four arms as well. I was in the process of adding two more arms (for a total of six) when I jettisoned the whole thing in favor of a simpler idea. Quote
Vertexspline Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 LUDO -- Well ----- that's hands down or up a pretty cool character indeed. Nice work. Quote
Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted August 10, 2013 Hash Fellow Posted August 10, 2013 When I was in SF recently I went through the museum of Asian art. I was curious to look at some of the statues of those multi-armed gods and goddesses they have but they didn't seem to want to solve the problem in any anatomically plausible way so i didn't get any great ideas from them in that regard although some of them were amazingly intricate in a way that European stone sculptures are not. Quote
ludo_si Posted August 11, 2013 Author Posted August 11, 2013 little up sometimes the most important thing is not to be correct anatomically. just express, give an impression may be more interesting. I do not do a lot of anatomical research. I only work from my drawings. Quote
ludo_si Posted August 12, 2013 Author Posted August 12, 2013 I reworked the legs. There is only displacement mapping on the legs. more easy to animate Quote
Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted August 12, 2013 Hash Fellow Posted August 12, 2013 Very impressive texturing. Will you add some detail to the rest of him? Quote
Admin Rodney Posted August 12, 2013 Admin Posted August 12, 2013 There is only displacement mapping on the legs. more easy to animate That displacement is awesome. Very impressive texturing. Will you add some detail to the rest of him? Without knowing your plans, I'm with Robert in wondering the same thing. Especially if you plan to echo some of the theme of the leggings at or near the chest and/or waist. Quote
ludo_si Posted August 12, 2013 Author Posted August 12, 2013 Thanks. The project is in the begining. I still have to do the textures of the horns. The pants, the bust and back. It must have a weapon also. I designed it on paper. Quote
ludo_si Posted August 19, 2013 Author Posted August 19, 2013 with the displacement mapping, its a good solution to add détails. Quote
Wildsided Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 Are they boots or does he have really big hairy feet? Also it's a little unnerving that he's smiling.... Quote
NancyGormezano Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 with the displacement mapping, its a good solution to add détails. Well done! Quote
ludo_si Posted August 19, 2013 Author Posted August 19, 2013 Are they boots or does he have really big hairy feet? Also it's a little unnerving that he's smiling.... They are boots. With hairs on top. They will give dynamic when the character will walk. It is just decorative. Yes, I also find that her smile is unnerving. Quote
thefreshestever Posted October 5, 2013 Posted October 5, 2013 just discovered this... really awesome character!!! Quote
