Well now that I know EXACTLY what your entry is I'll be sure to never go into a contest against you. Thanks for setting me straight Colin. And, I have learned that those issues are not restricted to mechanical modeling.

Uh... hmm...

Wow... Colin... you... er... you went all out on this one!

I guess if you win now we know it really is a popularity contest.

Could we see a wireframe of the models? I would like to see how many splines you used to create... those... splines.

Did you use multipass? Using radiosity might improve the realism.

Now you're really showing off, Colin!

But seriously, issues apart, that has some really good points and the shaders are just unbelievable. Must have taken awhile to render, eh? You are an inspiration!

As you've shown us this before voting has begun doesn't that diqualify you? :D

One thing I never understood is that on the hash image contest sight it asked that one not put their name etc on the image, I always thought that was so no one would know for sure whos image it was.....I obviously am wrong, it is getting pretty easy for me to guess whos entry it is just by hanging around on the forum..LOL....

as always very impressive..LOL....now I know what not to vote on ...smile

yet it sure looks like you stole that idea from somewhere......

Ok let me clarify a little. This is just a peak at some of the spline types I've used in my mechanical entry. In fact I drew these in Photoshop so as not to even be showing "parts" of the same model.

I was feeling a little peckish.. so I posted these as a place holder for when I will show my actual "piece" and how I made it.

Once the contest starts, anyone care to venture which entry is mine? Just post an answer here. I won't say yes or no till I win.. or I mean untill the contest is over.

Well I think I'm going to write Steve an e-mail and tell him to take my entry out. There's just no way I can beat that entry, Colin.
