ZachBG Posted January 7, 2005 Posted January 7, 2005 Hi, friends and enemas: Let me direct your attention to Door Number 3, where we find: Oscar vs. FBI Warning This is a piece I did as an intro for a client's demo reel a few months ago. Jeff Lee modeled the text and logo for me and the client provided the character, the "story," and a time limit of ten seconds which was promptly shattered. And don't tell anyone, but this is the first time I ever got paid to animate anything. What madness! Getting paid to do something this fun! Anyway, hope it brings a tiny smile to your eye, or possibly a tear to your lips... Quote
Admin Rodney Posted January 8, 2005 Admin Posted January 8, 2005 Brilliant! Now that is definitely a first paid job to be proud of. Keep on animating Zach! Good stuff. For now I'm off to stare at the mirror to see what a smiling eye looks like. Quote
lazz Posted January 8, 2005 Posted January 8, 2005 That was great! The facial animations were awesome as well, very smooth. Great stuff! -Robert Lazzarini Quote
mediaho Posted January 8, 2005 Posted January 8, 2005 Very nice! I really love the little jump before he runs off screen and the recovery from the broken logo. Great squash and stretch. The text is very nicely done too. Great job! Quote
Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted January 8, 2005 Hash Fellow Posted January 8, 2005 Congratulations! That's a cutey. Mr. White Diamond better have good stuff on his demo reel to follow that! Quote
ZachBG Posted January 8, 2005 Author Posted January 8, 2005 I really love the little jump before he runs off screen... Thanks! That was purely cheating to blend between the choreography action and the cycled run. I needed an easy way to get the model bone into the proper place for the path constraint. But somehow, it worked okay. Quote
vf124 Posted January 8, 2005 Posted January 8, 2005 And don't tell anyone, but this is the first time I ever got paid to animate anything. Yea, right ... Quote
guernseyfreak Posted January 9, 2005 Posted January 9, 2005 That was a great animation. The character was cool. I never really did like those FBI warnings! Maybe I should try getting paid? Anyway, great job dude! Quote
D.Joseph Design Posted January 9, 2005 Posted January 9, 2005 I love this! I did an FBI warning in Year in Review 2003 in which I changed the text to basic nonsense. But your idea is great! Quote
