Answers in Genesis (AiG), Christian apologetics and creation science organization, as well as builders of Creation Museum in greater-Cincinnati, has redesigned their extremely popular website. A key feature of the redesigned site is a new "Get Started" section that features an introduction video ("About AiG") that includes one of my 3D animations that I created for them. www.AnswersInGenesis.org is the single most-popular Christian apologetics website, receiving over 50,000 unique visitors (not hits) every day, which is about 150,000 page views. In a month, the website reaches hundreds of thousands of unique vistors (again, not hits because that would register in the millions). Check it out! I think it's awesome that the animation fits so well without alteration from the original design. I offered to reanimate as needed, but they did a good enough job that reanimation wasn't needed. Too bad I don't get advertising from this.

Here are some good sites for textures: www.ImageAfter.com www.mayang.com Or for commercial (meaning that they cost) textures, www.StormVision.net. And while I'm at it, I might as well list some great, FREE stock photography websites that may have good textures for you. www.sxc.hu (perhaps the best) www.istockphoto.com (also excellent, but photos do cost ... a couple dollars) www.pixelperfectdigital.com www.bigfoto.com www.freeimages.co.uk www.morguefile.com http://piotrpix.info www.openphoto.net

New T. rex and walk cycle
D.Joseph Design replied to dinocarl's topic in Work In Progress / Sweatbox
Yes, his steps are definitely too fast; so are his leg movements. Realize the mass and weight of this guy. He's no Jurassic Park charging terror. Just for fun, you could make the camera shake with the T. rex's steps. -
Oh. I thought this was from the same poster.

Real grenades just blow up. But this, blowing glass all over the place, would really hurt if it detonates in your hand. How do you plan to use this? Because, you know, people who live in stone houses don't throw glass rocks ... or grenades.

Very, very cool! -
Oh, okay. I should have realized that this is just a draft. So there is more of you than there is of me.

Cool site! Awesome work! But your site will be annoying to dial-up users since your pages use an all-graphics layout.

Sweet! What metal material is that?

Ah! Now I see the photos. Awesome car! I'd like one of these! It'd also make a great RC car.
-
I don't see any car photos. Did you run out of bandwidth or move the image files?

Nice flat-panel, plasma TV (yes, that's what it looks like).

Man. I've been doing too much freelance web design. I read this thread title and thought "There isn't a 'hunley' CSS tag, is there?" It's looking really good! Are you planning this for a specific project, or is it just for fun?

Design Critiques Please =^.^=

Avoid all-caps. Your name is okay, but especially avoid it in your email address. More comments to follow. -

Wow! The flat rocks almost seem like they're floating. Maybe adjust the ground so that they can sit flat? -
Very cool!

50¢ per "Show desktop" click in Windows or $1 per F11 Exposé in OS X (Mac users are used to paying double what something is worth). -

Creation Museum Montage

The QuickTime video is working properly now. You can watch just the first thirty seconds or so to see just the logo animation, or watch the full eight-minute video (42 MB total). Watch it here. -
And if you want the burger to taste good, ensure that it has a nice glossy layer of grease all over it.

Creation Museum Montage
D.Joseph Design replied to D.Joseph Design's topic in Work In Progress / Sweatbox
Bummer. It's embedded and saved as Fast Start like all of my other QuickTime videos. Maybe it's because I used MPEG-4 instead of Sorenson3. I'll try changing it tomorrow. -

Right. This video will play between the dinner time and a message from Ken Ham. Those are probably MPEG-4 compression artifacts. Did the QuickTime file load-while-playing for you? It wasn't working for me today, but I suspected my internet connection.
