  1. A video file with an animated mouth applied as decal.
  2. hit the comma key to select the whole spline.
  3. This is why I make lots of backups of the prjs I'm working on... just for the occasion something goes wrong.
  4. The easiest way to do this is to use motion capture software. If want want free software to do this you should try Icarus. You can download it and find tutorials here : http://www.peerlessproductions.com/tuts/pages/Icarus.html A tutorial how to bring your captured data into A:M you can find here: http://www.zigncreations.com/icam
  5. Not bad. Could you post a wire frame?
  6. I think this is a memory allocation error and if so, adding more RAM wouldn't help. I think you should send a bug report.
  7. It could be that the picture you saw wasn't textured yet. Without textures everything will look white, or gray, depending on the lighting.
  8. I don't remember what resource I used at the time but you can take a look at this tutorial. I think that'll get you started, it isn't that hard...
  9. You can do it Nancy's way but still it's always good to learn expressions If you add this expression to your ambiance setting it will blink: If(Sin(ChorTime()*10)>0,1,0) The '10' stands for the speed, if you increase that number the speed in increase. The first '0' is the range the sin function runs from -1 to 1 so if the value is 0, the light will be on 50% of the cycle. If you want it to light for 10% of the cycle the expression would be: If(Sin(ChorTime()*10)>0.8,1,0) I hope this is clear enough
  10. I think you're looking for something like this tutorial. This one is done with video but it's almost the same as using a picture.
  11. Hey, that's a nice flip. I think he tripped over his root bone
  12. I once had a problem like that with one key frame. for some reason it was a bit out of line with the time line. Something like 2:13.87 while it should have been 2:14. I wasn't able to delete this key frame from within A:M. I don't know exactly what caused it but I think it has something to do with the strange way A:M uses to save the frame tags. There is only one way I know to fix this and that's to open your project file in a text editor and manually fix the problem. But if you don't know how the A:M prj structure works that won't be an easy thing to do. Do you have many key frames that needs to be corrected? If it's not too much I can give it a try to fix it. I know the file structure pretty well.
  13. Does it happen with every file? Or are you trying to save to your CD-Drive or over an read only file?
  14. Wow, that is a very good entry! I hope you win the contest. Where can we vote?
  15. I hope these are useful to you.
  16. I rendered out an animation with the spray moving around. The problem that occurs is that the water divides in stripes when the direction of the spray is moving to fast. Adjusting the settings didn't seem to help. Maybe anyone know a way around this? It seems to me that the emission code needs to be changed for this, but there might be an easier way to solve this
  17. I showed some progress here: http://migrate.hash.com/forums/index.php?s...st&p=233794 I assume you where inspired by the same topic.
  18. well, I have done some experiments on this and came up with some results that might do the trick. I already send the files to Erik, but I'm posting here for if you guys want to see the result: if someone wants to have the project file just let me know
  19. It's a good start, but it doesn't look like water at all. I'm also experimenting on a fountain but find it hard get get it fluid-like. I'll let you know if I manage get get something better out of it...
Groetjes!
  21. That's very good for a newbie! Is A:M your first animation software? I think you'll be showing us some more good stuff in the future.
  22. Just go to your model in the PWS, open File Info and set Embedded to 'on'
