  1. Happy Birthday!

  2. I did try before the install rig plug-in but like you said took hours and the end result was (to say the least) less then perfect. I don't even remember if it was useable. Then I tried it again with the install plug-in and was successful but still took me a long time. Third time was a quick and easy and I felt confident I was installing correctly. It's nice to see something like this happen. David Simmons, you, Hash (and others) have put an unbelievable amount of work into this rig and it will be nice to see it finally getting installed in a lot more characters now.
  3. OK, tried it this morning works great! Not much time so I didn't install the face stuff yet. I have to look at another model to get an idea of the correct bone placement. Took me about 20 - 30 minutes to install the rig without weighting and face. Which is sweet when I installed by hand the last time it took me hours. With this step by step install method, anyone should be able to install (actually kind of fun too) the rig without a problem. Thanks for doing this! David
  4. Nice, the posable rig seems to be really coming together now. I'll wait for the update and use version 13s to try it out.
  5. David Simmons was right this does kick ass! Will try installing in a character as soon as I get my update.
  6. Awesome characters and texturing.

  11. You are the Man!

  12. Awesome work! That bottom render really looks like a photo. The planes look reall good too.
  13. Hi Stephen, Just watched this again. The overall quality and all the little details its amazing this was done by one person. The little wings on that guys hat hilarious! Have you had any commercial interest in this yet? David
  14. Thanks! but I can't take credit for the model. I know Bob Taylor did the concept sketch. I'm not sure who modeled it but Agree awesome Job!
  15. I suppose if I said I like Santa Claus you'd tell me that was all a trick too. I just checked out their web site some extremely cool stuff there. I have to get that DVD now! Thanks for the link!
  16. Hey, thanks for all the feedback! It is the TWO rabbit. The ears were dynamics makes this character fun to animate, a lot of free animation. I just animated the main contol bone and dynamics did the rest. I think I will try this as a HAMR project. I know I will have to make a few changes. What you cant see on screen isn't pretty. I will probably just scale the character down to 0 when your not suppose to see him. Thanks Mark, I don't know what it is but I hear the Aardman's comment all the time. Even my daughter who is five said that as soon as she saw a Aardman's commercial. I think for the most part it maybe I use too many keyframes and sometimes leave a lot of interpolation on linear. Nope, I haven't subscribed to Keith Lango's VTS service but I did read his article on timing and spacing. Really enjoyed that. You just don't hear anyone talking about spacing in 3d weird. If you don't have it already...Preston Blair's character animation book is awesome. I litterly wore the cover off mine. It's not a 3D book but It really teaches how to animate not just 3d tricks. So for scooping up character animation training thats all I can say. (its all I have) Ohh and watching lots of Ren & Stimpy
  17. and I think of these all on my own ...haha Hmmmm....That is this weeks topic ...Maybe a good time to check it out
  18. Worked on this pretty much every night this week. Its still needs some tweaking for sure but I'm bored with it so moving on Thanks David [attachmentid=21761] rabbittrick2.mov
  19. I believe that was a free model he gave away along time ago. So it probably wont make a difference if you copy it exactly. If you do can you rig it with the squetch rig and pass it around
  20. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzReally nice animation! I especially like how "loose" the character feels. Have any tips or comments on how to achieve this? thanks David
  21. I couldnt see the victors tut but I like how extreme you went on the squash pose. You can get away with a lot for a couple of frames like that. Maybe a teeny bit better if you would have lead in with the brows more. Nice work!
  22. Now that was worth the wait!!! animation, modeling, lighting, everything!
