  1. Yeah that was some good stuff. Pretty clever he got to avoid the mouth shapes on the lip sync too.
  2. Hi Paul, Now that you mention it I think that was the problem with the clip. It should have been staged better. A wider camera angle and Holding the fish up closer to the camera on "thing" may have worked out better too. ah well, next time
  3. Here is the final version. Mostly worked on facial stuff, lip sync, brows and general facial expressions but also worked on the timing a bit trying to get him to look like he was really saying it. Still not so good in the ratings with 35th place. FishF.mov
  4. Muchas gracias, amigo! The 11 second club is Here It is new and took the place of the Ten second club but is so much better. Check it out it's a fun monthly contest. David
  5. Thanks for the comment and the tips. I will try to get the sound to sync better with the animation. The igloo is a good idea too. Just look at you bouncing Bosko on youtube that is really cool. Love the old rubber hose animations and wanted to try 2D animation for a long time. So I have a couple questions for ya. Did you draw that on a computer tablet or on paper? For the timing did you use the old clip for reference or did you make a timing sheet or did you just animate it straight ahead?? Did you Have to tweak anything?
  6. I agree about the waiting to reveal the reflection is on it's own. As it is now the viewers eye goes from the reflection at the start to the main character when he takes his hand off the mirror and says "now". Then just after he says short the relection turns around and draws attention back. So theres a good chance the viewer won't see the "fat"action. plus it gives away the gag away. It maybe funnier if we and the main character realized the reflection was alive at the same time. After he says "thing" that gesture is perfect for that. One more thought. If your searching for a pose for the reflection at the end. It would be cool if he came forward grabbing the mirror with both hands leaning forward maybe sticking his head out of the mirror looking to see waht happened to the main character with concerned look on his face.
  7. that is awesome. When are you going to do a character?
  8. novemberfishing.movUpdated animation. Now he is ice fishing. Changed about 50% of animation. Haven't had time to work on lip sync yet. I want to add some splines to the face of the character so I can get the "O" shape.
  9. Hi Dhar, This looks like its going to be good. I especially like his reaction when he sees himself in the mirror. I think you can just apply that image sequence as a decal to the model but I haven't done that in a long time. David
  10. Hi Ken, There is an option in the properties panel of quicktime pro. I must have saved it while it was turned on. I like viewing the test fullscreen. Thanks for the input on the lip sync I totally agree but can't get a good Oooo mouth shape pose out of that character. Maybe because he is such a low patch model? I'll try to get a better pose "thing" I probably will add a few more pose sliders to get stronger facial stuff. Thanks again David
  11. Thanks for the comments. You can turn the volume up on the quicktime player. The mov. turns it down for some reason. I've done some major changes to the animation and cut out the spaceship and the red character. The spaceship thing just wasn't working Now he is ice fishing. I think the animation a lot funnier with the fish. It gives him someone to play too and now has something to be scared of. The dynamics on the fish is kind of fun too. Will post an update later.
  12. A little animation I'm working on for the 11 second club. Hopefully will do better the 78th this time november11seconds.mov
  13. Awesome!!! I think thats the first time I have seen him in 3D.
  14. Thanks, for the help! I will post again after it's finished.
  15. That model looks great. Top notch stuff!
  16. The skinny scarecrow is such a neat model I wanted to try it out. The audio is from the 11 second club. I haven't done any tweaking yet just getting the poses and timing down. but Im wondering about the acting choices? over acting? octoberblocking31.mov thanks David
  17. LOL.. He looks very loose. It would be interesting to try that setup applied to an acting shot. Something that automatically loosened up a character would be way cool.
  18. That skinny scarecrow what a great model. I was wondering who modeled him.
  19. Happy Birthday!
