  1. Those were "legal" five-pointers but hooks were made to be a better solution. I agree very very much! Yes, much thinning can be done and it will make rigging easier later on. Usually you can do an eye opening with just 8 CPs. That's my typical budget for eye openings.
  2. Can you show a picture of an example of what you want the lighting in that room to look like? i can't imagine that you really want it so dark.
  3. yup, just tried it, that's new. Use 32-bit v16. You can have both v16 and v17 installed. After the installer runs copy your master0.lic file from your v17 A:M folder to your v16 folder.
  4. Here's the tough part... can you post a sample PRJ that does the problem?
  5. Are the orange ones problem A and the round ones problem B?
  6. Your on Windows. Is there a reason to not use TSM2? The TSM2 plugins work fine in 32-bit A:M.
  7. Is he on a run cycle? The beginning and end of that don't look like they are matching and that's what's causing the twitch. I like the look of the character.
  8. Elms profile says he's on windows. 17 is working great for me too, most of what i write up for AMReports now is obscure stuff, but I shall be eager to see more about the problems they are having with it.
  9. I like the idea of the 2D to 3D but I think it's too long for an intro. I think that could be telescoped down to four seconds or so and do the job. The actual animated gesture we could work on to plus that. It's got some hard angles to it.
  10. OK... the day after tomorrow... start a thread and describe them and we'll investigate.
  11. AMReport them!
  12. My "Editing Quaternions" video, created for users of other programs who say Quaternions are impossible to use.
  13. This one is so dark i can barely tell what's going on. On turning... you have to have one foot firmly planted at all times. They can't both be sliding simultaneously. I did a small reference for someone else. He was doing a mechanical monster but they need to keep one foot planted too. http://www.hash.com/forums/index.php?s=&am...st&p=351047
  14. Is there a reason this room needs to be so narrow? It seems to be an impediment to good staging. Also, why is it so dark?
  15. I'm just getting caught up on the new installments... This new angle is better. Something about kneeling... you can't really leave a foot flat on the ground and kneel, your heel will have to come up and just leave the toe on the ground. Then to get up you typically slide one foot forward to get it under your weight and push up on that leg.
  16. I agree with the comments that a different angle would help this substantially. Especially a person getting up from a kneel or sitting position. Best seen from the side or 3/4 view.
  17. In the absence of Undo it probably makes sense to save versions often.
  18. I haven't tried, but sometimes A:M stores events we don't notice in the undo queue so you have to do undo several times to get something to happen. Have you tried multiple ctrl-Z?
  19. I think I've ascertained what caused the situation in my example video where not all keyframes in a bounding box were getting selected. I expanded Tinwoodsman>Actions>choreography Action1>Bones but then i only collapsed Tinwoodsman before i tried to bounding-box select. If I go back and collapse Bones, choreography Action1, Actions and then Tinwoodsman, a bounding-box selection works properly.
  20. Sliding KeyFrames SlidingKeyFrames.mov
  21. thanks, i will investigate those problems.
  22. Hi Steve, Here are some observations... Rerouting Splines ReroutingSplines200.mov Here's a nose you can study as an example of a simpler topology: CaponeNose.mdl
  23. Can you describe more what the problem is?
  24. I will note that reshooting a rendering on a patch will make it not-3D any more.
  25. Yes that works. You can also slide chunks later in the time line if they are just happening too soon but aren't too fast them selves. Of course you've saved your work first and you are not resaving with the same file name all the time. Of course not.
