  1. Thought I'd give a sneak peek of this here! I'm working on a 15-page fill-in story for The Wannabe Pirates webcomic that will run after the current storyline to give McCrary a little bit of a breather. I think it's going to be a lot of fun (and, of course, a lot of work!) I did make use of Animation: Master for this! Waldo's hat and the amulet were modeled in A:M, so that I could draw them at different angles. We've got about 6 or 7 weeks before these will start going up and I'm hoping to finish them all before then.
  2. Just tremendous work, Stian! I think this one will top everything you've done before! (And *that's* saying something!) :-)

If you're using a Mac with a Mighty Mouse, you have to use a key combination. (The Mighty Mouse won't let you click both the left and right buttons at the same time.) Moving the CP into place (and still holding the left mouse button), hit the tilde key (in the upper left hand corner of your keyboard).
  4. Thanks, Gerry & Home! Don't want to misdirect anybody, this *isn't* a new one. This is actually the first one I ever did that was just on some random thread about weighting. I came across the original file and thought it would have more visibility here.
  5. You are welcome, Myron ...and thanks! I don't know. Right now I'm pretty busy, but it's something I would like to do.
  6. Remembered this the other day and went searching for it. This was the first of the comic book page tutorials I did. This is about CP Weighting. I wanted to put it in with the others.
  7. Just to piggyback on Jessie's post, the yellow spikes should always be coming out of the face of the patch that faces outward (is visible.) So, if you had a cube, all of the yellow spikes would be sticking out, not sticking in.
  8. Just curious about the numbers, Matt. From a quick pass of the original and the new one, it looks like: PTB 2006---Time: 2:00---15 contributors---21 sequences PTB 2009---Time: 4:00---20 contributors*---29 sequences So we doubled the length and had more contributors and sequences. I'd say that's a terrific turnout considering that the forums aren't nearly as crowded as they once were! *taking your word on this one. The credits roll by too quickly to count. Would it be too much trouble to slow them down?
  9. Great job, everybody! Nice work roping them all together, Matt! How does the number of entries and time match up to the original?
  10. ftp://ftp.hash.com/pub/updates Dig in the right folders and you'll find it.
  11. Nice and dramatic! I like how the Banshee's robes move!
  12. Don't forget William Sutton's UV Tutorial. He shows off using the UV editor so that you can put all of your decals into one decal image. He had a CD for sale awhile back that was very helpful, but I don't think he sells it anymore.
  13. Wow! Fantastic job, Stian! Modeling and texturing!
  14. Rob, Eggington has some free models here.
  15. I'm sending Matt the alternate version of mine with sound effects added. Don't know if it'll work with the background music, but I'm giving him the option.
  16. Thanks, guys! You are right, Ken. I just wonder if sound will work with whatever audio is going to be running over the whole. But, just for kicks, here's the clip with sound effects: withsound_s.mov
  17. Thanks, guys! True, John! Hopefully I'll get better at it. I struggled with this one!
  18. You've been busy, Gene! Impressive!
  19. Thanks, everybody! Paul: That's a really good idea, but yeah, that would take a whole lot of time to accomplish. I wonder if it would look too weird if it only happened in that one shot? I'm playing right now with trying to adjust the colors of the video to see if I can make it look better. I may be overdoing it... On the left is the original, on the right is the modified.
